Back in the middle of June, Paulette and I took a road trip over to Branson, Mo. to visit some classic car places on the way. NO luck--the places had been closed due to road construction, so we stayed a couple of days to take in the sites.

  We then decided to travel across MO.--Ill. and Ind. to see what we could find going on. We were traveling in Sunshine, but had BAD storms in front and behind us. You guessed it nothing going on because of weather. When we got to the East side of Indiana we turned north to Fairmont Ind.

 Fairmont is a small town which has had famous people born or raised in this small community. Here are some of their names--(Dr. Robert Sheets-Former Hurricane Director )--(Phil Jones-Former CBS Journalist )- (Jim Davis--Cartoonist-"Garfield" )-(Dr. James Huston-Professor & Historian ) and also James Byron Dean.

The last full weekend in Sept. is when the Annual James Dean Classic Car Run & show is held in Fairmont. You can get info. at their website. ( Jamesdeanartifacts.com )

  To be able to do this article Paulette and I were permitted to photograph inside the museum to give you a sample of what you will see when you visit. Some of the pictures I have distorted to leave something for you to see & read when you come to Fairmont.
