This was a exclusive ‘Tri Five’ Chevy event, there was no judging, entry fees or costs involved for participants or spectators. The Dallas Area Classic Chevys thank their sponsors – Reliable Chevrolet, Wilson Auto Repair and Heritage Insurance - for making the event a success. Also the club would like to thank the following for providing door prizes to the participants – Ecklers Classic Chevy, Williams Classic Chassis Works, Classic Performance Products, Rock Auto.com, Reliable Chevrolet, Octane 104 Boost, and Meguiars.
Favorite ‘Tri Five Chevys’ were selected by the club sponsors and presented awards. Free hot dog and burgers were cooked up by the staff of Reliable Chevrolet and music was provided by the Ghost Surfers. A special ‘Cacklefest’ was conducted for all the Tri Five Chevys that had open headers!
The Dallas Area Classic Chevys are a North Texas based car club exclusively for the ’55-’57 Chevy car, truck and Corvettes. Next year the club will play host to the 29th Annual Lone Star Classic Chevy Convention where well over 200 Tri Five Chevys are expected on Memorial Day weekend 2011 for a full schedule of show judging, drag racing, swap meet, 50’s Sock Hop and more – all devoted to the mid fifty Chevys!
