    Detroit Autorama  2011

The next stop was at  long time MHRA member  Harry   McAulife’s    garage....     WOW... talk about a goldmine of traditional  Hot Rods....  this was the place where you saw some real Detroit History !  What a lucky guy Harry is to have kept these treasures.... how many of us long for that car we had “way back when” ... well Harry has HIS...  and we really enjoyed seeing them and hearing the stories behind these great old cars.  Harry bought this red 32 in 1956,   the blue roadster is his latest project,  and the   32 Sedan is an old Race Car from the Detroit area, which Harry enjoys taking around to local tracks and events.   Harry was one of the founding members of the MHRA.

This shop isn't limited to prototype cars... they do really fine restoration work too.  This 56 Chev was in the shop when we visited.

This Art Morrison Frame is ready to go under the 56 Chev.  Kenny said this frame is as perfect a frame as he's ever seen... Quite a compliment coming from someone who builds the quality of cars as we've seen here.

This stop at Ken Yanez’ shop was really great.....   it’s a pleasure to see such talent and such really fine and imaginative work in our field.   You can learn more about all that goes on at  Special Projects at www.specproj.com

There are only so many hours in a day....   but Al and Matt made sure Jack was getting a full days worth or garage crawling.....   see the rest on the next page.
