Detroit Autorama 2011
It all starts with getting the car looking great...
Scott Jobbs 37 was looking good !
This pickup caught Jacks eye as soon as he got to the show.
Turns out that owner Thomas Jenkins was one of the younger builders with entries in the show.
What a great job he did on this truck. It is truly an outstanding car.
Jack talked to the owner and it .. turns out he’s a Hotrodhotline fan... which is always nice to hear.
This Corvette attracted a lot of attention.
Owner CJ Kumar of Stouffville, ONT Canada was a really nice guy... and he plans to bring another car to Autorama...
Bobby Alloway was honored as Builder of the Year
What a great display of classic Alloway cars
Jack caught an artist doing a drawing of this 32
We had the pleasure of catching a bite to eat on several evenings with Ron and his son
The crowds were steady all day Saturday
Every year there is a car that you wonder why it wasn’t in the Great 8 ... this car is one of those....
Turns out that the car had been shown once and so was not eligible.... too bad... this was a very nicely done car.
If there was one car in the whole show that generated the most “BUZZ” This Imperial was the car. It was amazing !
There’s just way more than we can report here to tell the story of this amazing car.. You can see the whole story including inspiration and process here... The Imperial Speedster
Remember, this is pretty much what the Speedster was before Murray Pfaff got a hold of it.
Now on to the Ridler contenders .....
