The Deuce Reunion, now in it's 35th year, was held at the Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort between Austin and Bastrop Texas and drew 119 Thirty Two Fords from all over the Southwest. The event was started by Charlie Duran, who still is in charge with some help from Maurice Allen and other members of the Deuces Limited car club.
This year there was: a father-daughter combo, a newly built super rare Deuce roadster pickup, a 3 window coupe that had just driven down from Bonneville after making a 132 mph pass, and a collection of various 1932 Fords to please just about any true blue hot rodder. This is a very laid back event with the emphasis on camaraderie and relaxation, and the facilities at the Hyatt resort helped fill the bill. The weather was great and though attendance was off just a little due to the recent major forest fire in Bastrop and the 88 days of triple digit temperatures this year around Austin, it was still one fine get together."
