Here are some shots from the "3rd Annual Gearheads Car Show" this past weekend, which took place in the parking lot of Cabala's Sporting Goods store. While the attendance was down by a couple of cars due to the number of events taking place in the Austin, Texas area, there were still over 200 cars of all types and they were all enjoying the great hospitality of the GearHeads car club. On hand were several of Mercury Charlie's steel masterpieces, including "Nadine" (his purple Merc), a stretch limo dune buggy (?), and a severely chopped '55 Chevy! It was a great day for meeting up with old friends and talking about the local happenings, which very sadly included the passing of rock and roll icon, Johnny Dee, leader of Johnny Dee And The Rocket 88's. He will be missed. The Gearheads are trying to plan next year's event to not coincide with any other area happenings. Richard "Too Low" Haas
