Connecticut American Motors Owners Chapter held their 17th Annual Regional Meet on August 19th and 20th at the Four Points Sheraton in Meriden, CT. AMC car owners from New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Connecticut were in attendance. I’ve enjoyed attending this meet as a spectator for the past few years, because American Motors products are few and far between on my regular rounds. This year’s Hudson high water mark for me at least was Joe Wilcox’ mild custom ’49 Hudson coupe equipped with a Muscle Car era big block AMC V-8 and a 5-speed stick. You won’t see that one duplicated at the Dairy Queen every Friday night! Looking at the fleet of well-maintained AMXs, Javelins, Americans, Matadors, Ambassadors and others in attendance, it’s hard to believe that next March will mark the 25th Anniversary of the sale of American Motors to Chrysler Corporation, and the end of the AMC logo. Hope you enjoy a few photos from CAMO’s 2011 show. Best wishes, Bob Warenda
