Following the car show at the county fair grounds, the cars then cruised to downtown Marshall where the streets are closed off and the people enjoy sitting on the side lines viewing the cars. Marshall was ounce a candidate for the state capital of Michigan and as such, has had many beautiful homes and buildings build there. Many buildings date back to the early 1800's and are in very good condition for their respective ages. The Rexall Drug Store that is pictured here is one of the longest operating stores the the drug stores history. The high 90's temperatures at the fair grounds gave way to 100 degrees and matching humidity for the downtown event, so the excitement of the cars was not shared by all, but the crowd genuinely seemed happy. Enjoy the pics!
