Now this picture says it ALL about “Back to the Fifties” ! Nowhere else will you see such a crowd and such a wide range of cars. And EVERYONE is having a Great Time !
In our hobby there’s a saying “It’s all about the cars”.... well that’s partly true ... for most of us it’s all about the PEOPLE... it’s our chance to meet up with friends that we don’t see often throughout the year as well as club members and our dearest friends ... who we may see often but this setting and the CARS make it all special ..... This year was no exception for us ....
While Jack was hiking out to the north 40 to check up on our friends from the Hot Rod Repair Shop..... THEY were stopping by the booth to see us... so we snapped a picture knowing the Jack would catch up with them later.... and he did...
Roving Reporter Richie stopped by ... and he got some awesome pictures.. you’ll have to check them out.
None other than Jerry Johnson also stopped by to say “Hi”... Jerry is NSRA Member # 1 .... YES... # 1 ... WOW. Jerry was on hand signing his book and just having fun with old friends.
BUT...... we have gotten ahead of ourselves here... anyone who knows Jack .... knows that the TRIP to and from the show is half the fun.... sometimes it’s the most fun. Jack always finds some new treasure along the way.... even though we’ve taken the same route for twelve years .... it’s amazing that he can sniff out some new find on each trip.
What started in American Falls, Idaho as a short stop to check the wheel alignment on the van turned into an unexpected find... Jack can’t just sit and wait for the guys at Les Schwab to do the alignment... he spotted a tow yard down the road and had to check it ou. He met Troy at ABC Auto and discovered a wealth of treasure Including two project cars that Troy now has listed in our classifieds.
After a fantastic 3 day drive we finally arrive at the show ..... by Thursday afternoon we’re all set up and take a look at the early arrivals..... All indications are that this will be a fantastic show.
