Called the “100th Anniversary Indy 500 Mile Race Celebration of Automobiles,” the event is for two broad classifications of automobiles manufactured between 1911 and 1961 – the first 50 years of the Indianapolis 500. These classifications are: 1) cars representing the 24 manufacturers that competed in the first Indianapolis 500 Mile Race in 1911 and 2) full classic cars and other significant collectible non-modified cars up to 1961.
