Last year, the Hot Rod Power Tour came through Chattanooga, Tennessee, and there was a huge cruise in (after party) held on the streets surrounding Coker Tire and Honest Charley Speed Shop. The folks at Coker Tire decided to try a cruise in of their own and held it on September 17th. This happened to fall on the same weekend as several other BIG shows in the area, but close to 300 cars showed up for the event, filling Chestnut Street, 14th Street, and many parking lots in the area.
Coker Tire, Honest Charley Speed Shop and Honest Charley Garage opened its doors to the public, and had a cool bluegrass band called Mountain Cove, as well as a local high school shop class (East Ridge High School) who competes in the “Hot Rodders of Tomorrow Engine Challenge”. They disassembled and rebuilt a small block Chevy in about 20 minutes!!! I guess
