"One of the most eagerly awaited events in the Austin car scene is the Annual Nostalgia Drag Races, hosted at the Little River Drag Strip by the Kontinentals, a premier club in the Central Texas area.
Not only is it a very enjoyable cruise some 40 or 50 miles to the strip, but when you arrive there is no limit to what type of Hot Rod you might see..........from blown flathead rail jobs to a straight eight with 6 2 barrels.
Little River Drag Strip goes back a long ways in the "go fast" history of Central Texas and is shaded on both sides by very large pecan trees that give it a State Park kind of feel."
