Our first stop was at American Speed Company

Garage crawls or tours are a great car club activity, especially during the winter or as spring nears raising the enthusiasm of the club members. While it was still an overcast and dreary day the tour locations where great. Our first stop was at American Speed Company, which specializes in producing the very high quality Speed33 Roadster. This 1933 Ford roadster replica features a folding top that stores neatly under the rear deck, similar to the Dearborn Deuce. In fact, what sets this all steel car apart from

others on the market are the built-in retractable convertible top mechanism and the availability of real side windows, as opposed to side curtains, giving it the classic amenities of later model convertibles. In addition, the car body is four inches wider and four inches longer than the original allowing for easier access. Originally, just selling the body American Speed now offers complete turnkey cars, which are built to order. These cars can have as little or as much as the owner wants with some very high end builds reaching the $250,000 range. I can only hope to win one this year thru the National Street Rod Association as their give-a-way car. Enjoy the pics!
