I went to The GoodGuys' East Coast Nationals at the the Dutchess County Fairgrounds in Rhinebeck, New York on Saturday, June 25th with my buddy Carl. We left at 5:45 A.M. in the rain for the 103 mile trip; Having missed a couple of shows in the past 30+ years because we belived the weatherman and his 40-50% chance of rain forecast, we went anyhow; After all, we now know that the weathermen have trouble predicting yesterday's weather. It turned out to be a beautiful day in Rhinebeck, but the car count, spectator count and vendor count were down because of the weather in surrounding areas, high gas prices, etc. We met up with our buddy Charlie and he spent a good part of the day with us checking out the wide variety of cars in attendance. We saw and talked to old and new friends, handed out HOTRODHOTLINE decals, and generally really enjoyed the day. We stopped for pizza on our return trip and found that it rained heavily back home most of the day. I hope you all enjoy my pictures, Walt
