With this year’s show behind them, you would think that the members of L.A. Roadsters will just sit back and wait for next year…hardly, as they had to deal with area changes this year, which inevitably brings concerns, which I’ll bet they are already dealing with for next year. Restrooms, as well as availability of picking up purchases in the swap meet were two of the larger issues…we have to remember that the facility itself is involved in many of the decisions, but you can be sure these will be worked out for next year, I can’t wait…
We, several members of the San Luis Roadsters, hit the Fairplex Friday afternoon, locating our parking area; while some cleaned the road dust off, some headed out to the swap meet to check out the early arrivals…myself, I shot a couple of cars in the specialty car area, as well as the edge of the swap meet before heading back to the roadster area, which is my favorite section. That evening we headed over to Walden’s open house, getting a great look at a real working hot rod shop.
Saturday morning I positioned myself to shoot some of the outstanding roadsters as they entered, finishing out with a day wandering among the roadsters…occasionally stepping into building #4 to cool off, as well as check out the large indoor display of vendors….a great show, thanks, guys ‘n gals
