The 4th annual May in the Wide Bay was held in Hervey Bay, about a 4 hour drive north of Brisbane. It was held last weekend and what a great event it was, with over 120 cars attending.
The Queensland Chevrolet Car Club had about 20 cars that headed north for the long weekend. The weather was perfect. It is a very laid back weekend with a welcome barbeque on Friday night and then after Breakfast on Saturday we all head into Maryborough for a history lesson, and then cruised back for some grass events at the Caravan Park.
Sunday was breakfast again before cruising out to River Heads, which is the gateway to Frazer Island, the largest sand island in the world. We then headed back to Hervey Bay for a car show on the water front. Monday was breakfast again and then headed home after a great weekend. It is a well organized event and we can't wait for next years event.
