Here are some photos from the 62nd Annual Sacramento Autorama held at Cal Expo. The weather held out for all the participants and it did not rain until Sunday night. Well after the event was over. John Buck and Rod Shows filled every building on the Cal Expo grounds with some amazing vehicles. The pictures speak for the quality of Rods, Customs, Muscle Cars and Trucks that displayed or competed for awards.
Butch Gardner coordinated all the local car clubs and turned the Pavilion into a “Club House”. Butch was also the M.C. at the Annual Legends Luncheon, where Roy Brizio gave a moving acceptance speech alongside “The Rodfather”, during both of their induction into the Sacramento Autorama Legends.
The 2011 Ridler Award Winner, Bruce Ricks and his 1956 Ford Sunliner, walked away with two Big “B” Awards! And Joe Bailon gave his Custom Award to “Sylvester III”. A Ford Roadster that was found disassembled in a San Francisco garage. Congratulations again to New Metal Kustomz! Enjoy the photos, Brian Basquez, Sacramento, Ca.
