This past weekend was the 51st running of the NHRA Winternationals and the grand marshal for the event was none other than Don "The Snake" Prudhomme. As part of the event a special display of his cars, and some others, was set up in a tribute called "The Snake Pit".
Unfortunately, the weather didn't cooperate that day and race qualifying for the event was scrub, but before the rains came, I was able to snap these pictures of the tribute display. Then my girlfriend and I made a trip over to the NHRA Wally Parks Motorsports Museum.
What a great way to spend a rainy day in sunny southern California, so I hope you enjoy the pictures.
