Let me first correct my mistake in the last segment. The front locating bars are hairpins and not ladder bars.  But most everyone knew that already.  Its nice to know that someone is reading this series. I have received a lot of great e-mails so far on the series.  A lot of questions and have added some new customers from the build up of the frame.
This segment was a thrill with opening the BIG BOX from Winters Performance. Just like a kid in a candy store for the first time.  We wanted to use new and exciting components in the build of this roadster.  The Winters Polished V-8 quickchange in the big box qualifies as an exciting component.

Now for something new. Curbside Hotrod Parts, Boyd Singer and company have come up with a new twist on the old ladder bars.  At first glance one may not see the difference, but look close and you will see the advantage of this new design.
The ladder bars have rear rod ends that are adjustable.  The end of each bar has a welded threaded end piece that is parallel to the other rod end mount. The rod ends are 3/4 polished stainless rod ends (Deuce Factory pieces). These rod ends are captured in the rear end housing mounts. The rear end housing mounts are also a new design.  The ladder bar mounts on the rear housing also provides the lower 3 position mount for the coil-over shocks. The standard ladder bar setup has one mount which is not adjustable and a second mount that mounts the coil-over shock.  Study the pictures.  The new design also allows more room for routing the exhaust.
