Simi Valley Corvette Club
Car Show

Simi Valley, CA

Pictures by Bill Hoffer

A very nice show sponsored by the Simi Valley Corvette Club to benefit the Care & Share organization with food and toys for kids.  The show was open to everyone and many cars to support the cause.  The weather was GREAT, southern CA overcast so it didn't get hot.  There were more Corvettes than I have seen in one place.  Everyone had a great time with live music and great food.

This 1957 Continental MK II owned by Alan Rich of Simi Valley, CA took 1st place in the Classics Division.  Very well deserved!!!

This very nice '64 Mustang belongs to Pat & Mary Lamparello.

Ron Lingo owns this '40 Ford PU.  His truck was found on a front lawn of a farm in OR.  It was completed in 1993 and is driven every week.

It has a 350 Chevy, 400 turbo trans w/a shift kit, Mustang II front clip, 4-way power disk brakes and a 9" Ford rear end.

Ron had a Mr. Goodwrench crate motor with a few goodies added.  He tried to powder coat most of the engine to keep it easy to clean.  The headers are custom made and heat coated.  Thrown in are a Walker radiator and Vintage air/heat.

This beautiful '72 Chevy truck belongs to Ron Bartolomei.  It has a 350/350.  Ron drove away w/2nd place in the 1960 & newer trucks category.  Way to go Ron!!!!!
Ron hails from Newbury Park, CA.

Bill Hoffer drove away with the award for Best Custom with his 1949 Mercury.  Way to go Bill!!!
