Brought to you by Your  Friend and Ours.

It was 9 am when I got the call from Maryann at Hotrod HotLine."Cat...ya just gotta try to find Elvis. we hear he's been spotted in Motown !  So...sixteen dozen HoHo's  and one small diet Coke later, myself, Pro-Street Tim, who by the way, wears those Elvis jumpsuits to church on Sundays, and Paul, who all the way to Motown kept singing, "Blue Suede Shoes", were  off to find big "El"      We didn't even see Barry White or the Temptations, but we  made a turn and here we were at some car show at Cobo Hall.   So, we figured...What The Heck...since we're here we'll ask around if anyone has seen  Elvis.or maybe someone has seen Diana Ross...she's been looking for me since her divorce..as always.. I'm Hot on the Case !
The show  this year was awesome.as always.  The weather was goofy though !  The further north we went the colder it got... then it rained when we got to Motown a little fog, A little moisture.but none of the white stuff.. so what more could you ask for ?  Then on the way home, in Toledo we were treated to wind gusts, lightning and Heavy rain. But we got some real neat pics. 8 or 9 discs worth.so get ready to Cruise the Detroit Autorama..The Big Deal is of course is the Ridler Award.. So first we'll take a look at this years contenders.

Let's start with my personal favorite.."Cats Pick"  Chris Williams came all the way from Escondido, California to Detroit with a really Bitchin '49 Chevy hoping to get a shot at the coveted Ridler Award.  This LT-1 Powered beauty is a study in bodywork, engineering and desire to be the best !  It's called "M80"  Well, it sure is Firecracker Red !

FLASH..
We just got word that M80 Did Indeed Win This Years Ridler Award

The Detail was Outstanding...From the "trick" air breather cover with the Lit Firecracker mural to those cool European headlights.  Then How About the '50's Corvette Pods on the Dash !    I don't know yet who won the Ridler but this would have been my choice !
