The 2005 Cadillac CTS-V was a factory hot rod built into true Caddy luxury. It was a classic from the moment it hit the streets, and that's why it's great to find one that retains the slick shine of a well-kept machine. So while you're looking over details, like the Corvette Z06's V8 and six-speed, don't forget to notice the overall quality worthy of the Cadillac name.
You instantly notice the shine on this sports sedan. After all, the black has the slick look like it was forged from volcanic glass. That's because this factory Raven Black car that was given a solid investment in a ceramic coating. The consignor even says he only cleans it with a waterless wash to make sure it leaves no water spots (see what we mean about a well-respected car?) And this naturally fortified look continues on the wheels. The factory 18-inch Speedlines were painted anthracite to go with the dark attitude while also adding extra distinction. Plus, this package lets the special V-series chainmesh grille really pop against all this darkness. HID headlights, large dual exhaust tips, and an aggressive full body kit are all part of the factory upgrades that makes the CTS-V look so aggressive.
The darkness continues inside, and the exceptionally maintained appearance tells you it's more about coddling than pure aggressiveness. It starts with Ebony black leather seats with Alcantara inserts. They look terrific and have the supple but supportive feel that only a modern classic can. This is loaded with all the best features, including a power sunroof, power windows, power locks, keyless entry/alarm, dual airbags, anti-lock brakes, power steering, cruise control, and dual-zone automatic A/C climate control. There are also some nice upgrades, like a Valentine One radar detector and the stereo is now a Kenwood AM/FM/CD/XM touchscreen infotainment unit with modern amenities like Bluetooth and Apple CarPlay. The power seat adjusts to your ideal driving position; the leather-wrapped sports steering wheel adjusts to give you an excellent view of the crisp gauges; and the stick shift falls where you want your right hand to be. This is truly a modern sports sedan.
The CTS was made to go hunt down the German cars, and the V-series was out to play with the BMW M-Series and Mercedes AMG models. So Cadillac decided to upgrade its power by borrowing the ultra-hot motor from the Corvette Z06. The 5.7-liter LS6 motor is believed to be original to the car, and it absolutely looks pristine in the engine bay. The fuel-injected powerhouse was rated at 400 horsepower when new, and there's even a K&N cold air induction to give you an extra bump in power. There's an upgraded shifter kit that connects to a RAM Clutch flywheel and clutch package that upgrades the control and feel of the Tremec T56 six-speed transmission. Cadillac beefed up the fully independent suspension at the factory, but this one takes it a step further with a BMR anti-wheel hop kit and BMR pinion brace. Add in Brembo four-wheel power disc brakes, drilled & slotted rotors, grippy ZR rated tires, and a limited slip read end, and this is all about big power and big control.
This is the slick and speedy Caddy that was also exceptionally maintained. So if you want an awesome sports sedan for an awesome price, you know this is an awesome deal. Call now!
