Description:
1955 Chevrolet 3100 Restomod has a unique hot rod style exterior, custom comfy leather interior, cold-blowing A/C, a six-speed auto transmission, four-wheel disc brakes, and a custom frame and suspension setup. That already makes for an irresistible total package even before you discover the Camaro-based fuel-injected V8 under the hood!
The paint is a red oxide primer, and it sets the tone perfectly for this custom truck. It's the kind of paint and overall finish you'd get on a classic street bruiser, except there is a shine and evenness to it that tells you it's a driver's truck that wants to be impressive. This has a cool sleekness from the deleted badge, integrated tail lights, smooth roll pan, and the front turn signals integrated into the crystal clear headlights. And while this has a hot rod kind of attitude, there's also the right amount of polish. It's seen in classic pieces like the grille and slats holding down the real wood of the truck bed. And the shine also shows off some seriously speedy style with the quad center-exit exhaust tips and polished Coys alloys with 18/20-inch front/rear rake for a powerful forward-leaning stance.
The interior does a good job of mixing its vintage style with a modern kind of flair. For example, you still get a bench seat that can sit three across, but now has better bolstering for bucket-like individuality - especially with the center armrest folded down. It's all finished in brown supple leather for a luxury feel. And the door panels, headliner, and dash pad are all done to match. Since the build has only about 2,400 miles on it since completion, everything right down to carpeting looks and feels fresh. And within this stylish setup are well-integrated upgrades like a retro-style AM/FM stereo and cold-blowing air conditioning. It's also a fine driver with a grippy sports steering wheel on a chrome tilt column, and a full Dakota Digital gauge cluster with speedo and tach.
What makes this a true restomod is in the engine bay. This is a 6.2-liter V8 borrowed from a 2010 Camaro that's said to have only 53k miles on it when installed. It has also been given the right upgrades like a Holley Sniper electronic fuel injection system, an aluminum radiator, and shorty headers feeding the H-pipe dual exhaust. Not only do you get an awesome powerhouse, but the tidy and polished presentation makes it easy to show off. The undercarriage photos show off more big investments with a No Limit fully boxed frame, a Mustang II-style tubular a-Arm front suspension, a four-link rear, and adjustable coilovers all around. Four-wheel power disc brakes, power steering, and the Camaro's six-speed automatic transmission are all added to make sure this powerful pickup is a solid all-around performer.
This was a five-year restoration made to create a thoughtful true driver's restomod truck. So if you want to turn heads on road trips near or far, call today!
