BODY OFF RESTOMOD & FEATURED IN STREET TRUCKS Magazine!
This truck is a complete, body off restomod, built by the award winning JP Race Cars in Michigan. Nearly every nut and bolt is new from the ground up. The only thing not touched is the beautiful patina Mother Nature gave her. The finish has a matte clear coat and is very smooth.
Under the hood is a new West Coast Engines 383 Stroker with Pro Systems carbeurator. Has been dyno test just under 500HP. Black Widow Exhaust makes it sound as mean as it looks. The Saginaw 4-Speed Transmission and Hurst shifter allows you to rip through the gears.
This ONE OF A KIND ‘59 has a static drop suspension sitting 6” off the ground and providing a remarkably smooth ride. The truck has a 1985 Chevy truck frame, which has been modified and powder coated to accept the 1959 body. Rear leaf springs and coil springs, as well as front and rear shocks, brake lines, upper and lower control arms, etc...are all new to help this Chevy put power to the pavement. A Hellwig Sway Bar helps with maneuverability.
The interior has been completely reworked with a TMI Products custom brown houndstooth bench seat. Custom carpets and headliner complete this beautiful interior. New chrome steering column, red instrument gauge cluster, pedals, handles, cranks and other gauges top off the interior. A portion of the bed has been removed and the tailgate has been slanted forward to perfectly match the pitch of the cab.
Many hours and dollars have been spent bringing this old farm truck into the modern era. This sleeper may fool the untrained eye, however, when you take a look at all the custom work completed it’s hard to beat.
The exterior features new lights and chrome bezels as well as a gorgeous oak bed. While it looks aged, the many hints of modernity are obvious, one of which being 20-inch Rambler wheels from US MAG wrapped in Nitto Tires.
This truck currently has 480 miles on it. It was entered in the 2018 Detroit Autorama and won 2nd Place in its division. Additionally, this truck has been featured in Hot Rod Hotline on-line magazine in January of 2018 as well as the July 2018 issue of STREET TRUCKS Magazine.
The list of new parts is incredibly long but can be made available to the buyer. This truck has never been driven on wet roads or in the rain, which makes the underside as clean and flawless as the truck itself. It is stored in a heated shop during the cold weather months.
I’m asking $57,000 for it. I have more than that into it. Have had my fun and received great recognition with this build and ready to move on to the next project.
