Take some time to check out all the custom details of this freshly restored 1969 Chevrolet K10 4x4. But don't linger too long, because with the awesome two-tone paint, custom A/C interior, upgraded suspension, and serious small block power, this truck will be hauling out soon.
Dare we call this color Hugger Orange? It certainly looks the part of one of Chevy's famous muscle cars with its bold and bright presentation. And this looks particularly nice because there was an investment in a quality restoration. The consignor is part of a professional restoration shop. This was a three-year build, and there's less than 100 miles on the odometer since completion. You've got a big investment in new panels fitted with accuracy, and so the iconic orange really gets attention. Quite frankly, this truck deserves to be in the same league as Chevy's big muscle machines. Its aggressive attitude is highlighted even further by custom elements like the cowl hood, dual exhaust tips, and aggressively dark 20-inch wheels. But at its heart, this K10 never loses its vintage pickup sensibilities. You see it in areas like the white that gives this a classic American two-tone flair. The same vintage style goes for the extra shine coming off the big chrome bumpers and fresh grille. And when the lumber in the bed looks this good, you know you'll be dropping the tailgate at every event to show it off.
You are again reminded this is a muscle truck from the moment you open the door. The houndstooth fabric seat inserts make this '69 K10 feel like a '69 Camaro. And the headliner was even done to match, too. They look fantastic against the black and orange in the rest of the interior. The investment inside was all about merging the worlds of vintage and new. So you have the look of the classic western-style embossed door panels but they feel fresh from a new investment. The dash may have a classic-looking knob-style radio, but it's a modern digital tuner with Bluetooth. Below that, the classic climate control is your gateway to the full R134a air conditioning system. As you look around, you'll see more great features like a center console and sliding rear glass. The wood-rimmed three-spoke sports steering wheel is on a tilt column, and so you get a commanding view of the gauges and the road ahead.
Rarely do you find an engine bay this tidy with the smooth firewall and fender walls. All of this funnels your attention to the mighty 350 cubic-inch small block in the center. It's a fully built setup with aluminum heads, 10:1 compression, a four-barrel carburetor, and Kooks headers. It's a powerful total package said to make 450+ horsepower. And the 3-inch X-pipe dual exhaust loves to announce the muscle. The TH350 three-speed automatic transmission is a strong TCI unit, and that feeds a Positraction rear on a strong Dana 44 axle. And make sure you look at this full setup in the undercarriage photos. They not only prove how fresh this one is over every inch, but you'll also spot great upgrades like Fox dual reservoir shocks. These go with the two-speed 4x4 transfer case, lifted stance, and BF Goodrich All-Terrain T/As for an awesome go-anywhere package. Of course, if you believe this one is too pretty to get dirty, features like power steering, Wilwood master cylinder w/hydroboost, and front discs make this an easy in-town driver, too.
