1965 Chevy II Nova SS, full rotisserie restoration about 10 years ago and was upgraded with all modern components from front to rear.
Original California car that was stripped to bare metal and finished in PPG Torch Red base and PPG clear paints. Paint still shines like new as does all the trim and bumpers. All glass, seals and body gaskets are new.
Handling is done through a complete TCI bolt in suspension on front and rear. Front end is a complete IFS sub frame with polished springs, 1” sway bar, power rack and stainless polished A-arms. Front brakes are polished Wilwood calipers powered by a chrome CCP double diaphragm booster and master cylinder. Out back is a TCI four link set up with bolt in sub-frame connectors and a drive shaft safety loop. The suspension has an adjustable pan hard bar and adjustable polished 4 link with QA1 adjustable coil overs on all four corners. The rear wheel turn via a Ford 9” with Detroit Tru Trac 3:73 gears capped off with GM disc brakes.
The Chevy rides on American Racing Torque Thrust II’s wearing 205/50ZR16’s in front and 23/45ZR17’s in rear.
Under the hood, which is raised with a pair of billet hood hinges, you will find a Chevy ZZ4 crate engine putting out 355 HP and 405 lb-ft of torque. Mated to that is a 700R4 transmission. The ZZ4 features high flow aluminum heads with 163 cc runners, raised exhaust ports and tight combustion chambers. The block is a four bolt main with forged crank, hydraulic roller cam and aluminum intake. A Holley carb, which is fed by a Holley electric fuel pump, and an HEI distributer top off the engine. A polished Vintage Air Front Runner System takes care of all the engine accessories which spins the GM Type II power steering pump, alternator and A/C compressor. The engine exhaust is moved through a set of coated long tube headers connected to a 2.5” exhaust system with and H pipe and Flowmaster mufflers. Cooling the ZZ4 engine is an aluminum radiator with electric fans.
From the drivers seat you will be surround by a custom made Ron Magnus interior. Stock seats were removed for an ever comfortable Lexus bucket seat set which feature 7 way power adjustability. A custom console splits the buckets which houses the Lokar shifter, Vintage Air A/C controls and storage compartment. The interior is finished in genuine leather and suede with ostrich inserts on the seats. Pile cut carpet finishes out the floor as a custom made suede and leather headliner adds to the luxury feel of the interior. In the leather covered dash you will find a set of Auto Meter gauges with a tilt Flaming River column topped by a Budnik steering wheel. The trunk was not ignored and received a full interior dress as well. Additional creature comforts include Vintage Air Heat and A/C with billet vents, power door windows and a Retro Sound stereo. Lighting the way are headlights converted to a much brighter H4 bulb.
