That big cowl hood instantly clues you in that you're in for something special with this 1969 Chevrolet Nova Pro Street. This is a full custom performance build with a 600+ horsepower big block. So if you're looking for a quarter-mile king that's just legal enough to hang a license plate onto the back, dig into the details on this bright and quality build.
The vibrant orange paint sets the tone nicely for a car with plenty of flair and substance. It's a fiery and aggressive shade that will get plenty of attention out in the world and on overall road-ready appearance. Because the body panels are straight, the sunlight just loves to roll off the classic curves of this icon. The chrome and brightwork also have been done right with a shining presentation. It was nice that they gave this the look of an SS tribute with the proper badging, a blacked-out grille, and a blackout rear panel. But really, no one was going to question this coupe's performance credentials. The Weld racing wheels have a polished look that can't help but draw your attention to the extra wide rear set with Mickey Thompson rubber. And the lightweight fiberglass hood has a cowl that can only be described as a massive power dome.
The two-tone black and tan interior continue the custom attitude. In fact, the seats are the right way to introduce a pro street machine. After all, the modern buckets are better for performance driving. But these power adjust, so they're far more comfortable than just a cast molded racer's seat. Plus, the door panels, dash, and other fundamentals have a clean and coordinated look. The heart of it all is still about being driver-quality and performance-ready. That's why you have a back-seat delete, a roll bar, and the trunk now has your battery and fuel cell for better weight distribution. The upgraded steering wheel is on a tilt column to give you a good view of the AutoMeter Sport-Comp gauges. There's a shift light for the B&M ratchet shifter, and ahead of that is a TCI EZ-TCU transmission controller.
The engine bay has a fantastic presentation. The smooth and glossy inner walls funnel your attention to the polished components in the middle. But while the motor is quite attractive to look at, it's even more fun to run. This is a 496 cubic-inch big block, and we have an invoice from 2011 for over $8k documenting how this was a full professional power build. The V8 is bored, honed, decked, and parallel balanced. It's enhanced and fortified further with Patriot aluminum heads, moly piston rings, Clevite rods/mains, Comp Cams camshaft, roller rockers, moly pushrods, Comp valve job, stainless valve set, Pro Products balancer, and HV oil pump. It inhales deeply with a QuickFuel Brawler four-barrel carburetor and an Edelbrock intake. And it exhales with serious power and thunder as wrapped headers feed the large dual exhaust pipes. It is a mean machine, and we have a dyno sheet showing an impressive 640 horsepower! The 4L80E four-speed transmission is a stout and modern setup, and so you have the choice between using the ratchet shifter or you can shift using toggle buttons. This feeds 4.11 rear end for powerful take-offs. And as you look at the undercarriage photos you're going to see terrific upgrades, such as a reinforced chassis and reinforced four-link rear. And as powerful as this one is, the CPP hydroboost power brakes and four-wheel discs give you proper stopping confidence.
The sale comes complete with the dyno sheet, build receipts, and service manuals. This is a big power Nova that also offers plenty of bright style. It makes for an irresistible pro street package. Call now!
