This 1940 Chevrolet Pickup is irresistible because it has a truly classic style, but there's also the V8 power and upgraded chassis that makes it a truly useful pickup.
The tall/bright grille, curvy fenders, full running boards, and glossy lumber in the truck bed all have a nice vintage vibe. But there's much more going on here. The polished alloys not only upgrade the style but also fit a nice set of modern tires. So you instantly know this is more than just a pre-war classic. And as you look at the full package, you'll see a true classic with underlying usefulness you wouldn't expect from an 80+-year-old vintage Chevy. Even the paintwork is thoughtful yet practical. The red looks nice, but it's an older application for nothing too fancy to make this afraid to get to work. And the creamy tan stripe and coordinating tailgate lettering prepare you for the interior.
The two-tone red and cream continue inside. You can tell there was a well-done plan to keep the interior looking vintage while still giving you plenty of cool upgrades. For example, you still have a bench seat, but now it's done in a bright and comfy red velour. The upgraded carpeting and door armrest were also done to match. It's made to be a better driver with the right upgrades. Some of these are quite obvious, like the metallic sparkle of the Grant GT sports steering wheel. When you open the butterfly hood, you'll see that a much younger Chevy legend powers this classic Chevy. The 307 small block has a useful style and runs with the hardy nature you expect from these V8s. It inhales deeply with a four-barrel carburetor and exhales with a nice tune out of the glasspack-style dual exhaust. More than just a power upgrade, this is an all-around solid cruiser. It rides on a newer chassis with an independent front suspension, power steering, power brakes, and front disc brakes. There's even a stout but smooth TH400 three-speed automatic transmission.
