1957 Chevrolet 210 w/Bel Air trim
You can't talk classic car history without bringing up the '57 Chevy. These cars are the flagship poster car for classic cars and even people not in the hobby can point them out. They are truly iconic. They were popular new and continue to be one of the most popular classic cars to own. Chevrolet actually made history with the '57 when they introduced the fuel injected version which was the first vehicle to reach 1 hp per cubic inch. The car you see here is a beautiful example of the '57 and was a very high end build. The car is a bit of a sleeper because besides the American Racing Torque Thruster D wheels you would think it is all stock. However, when the car underwent a full frame off restoration from 2010-2012 and a body on restoration from 2014-2015 the drivetrain was completely redone. The car is painted in a beautiful Porsche Red paint that has an excellent finish and is slicker than it was even new from the factory. The body is very solid, straight and entirely rust free. The chrome and stainless is no different as it was all redone and has a beautiful shine. The glass is good as well with a slight tint throughout. The car has a great stance and looks good whether it is standing still or rolling down the road on those American Racing wheels with BF Goodrich radial tires.
As we mentioned before, from the outside it would appear this classic is mostly stock. Well pop the hood and that's where the car really shows off how it has been taken to the next level. It is now powered by a pro built 383 stroker motor that has less than 5,000 miles on it. There is no doubting this beauty can spin the tires where its original 6 cylinder would have only made an attempt. It puts out 429 base HP at 466 ft lbs of torque. The car is extremely clean under the hood with tons of chrome everywhere you look. The firewall is painted a gloss Black and all of the hoses and lines are cleanly routed. The motor utilizes a hydraulic roller cam, 1:5 roller rockers, Quick Fuel 680 cfm carb, GM serpentine belt system, MSD pro billet ignition system, MSD Blaster 2 coil, and Holley electric fuel pump. The sound of the car is music to any car guys ears with ceramic coated Sanderson headers. The car has zero heating issues due to the BeCool aluminum cross flow radiator with Spal dual electric fans. The motor is mated to a PTP Street and Strip GM 700R4 Phoenix transmission with PTP Street and Strip torque converter and a Phoenix electric lockup system. From there power transfers back to the GM 12 bolt rear end with limited slip and 373 gears. This is a classic anyone could drive thanks to upgrades like the CPP power steering and Wilwood disc brakes. The ride is very smooth down the road with a TCI 4 bar rear suspension with transverse bar and Koni coilover shocks.
The fun doesn't stop there though because the interior was beautifully constructed with very nice detailed modifications. The Beige Belgium leather is in excellent condition and the car has taken home its fair share of best interior awards. The dual adjustable bucket seats sit to each side of a very cool custom center console that runs all the way from the dash through to the back seats. It offers additional storage space as well as cupholders for both front and rear passengers. A custom under dash section was created and covered with leather to house the Vintage AC/Heat adjustable vents with custom trim. The dash has a mostly stock layout but is now fitted with Classic Instrument gauges and a "Big Bowtie" GM tachometer. The stereo is a Retro Sound unit with bluetooth to stream all your favorite tunes and act as a hands free phone as well. This is a very cool system because it has a vintage stock appearance while incorporating modern features. It delivers sound through aftermarket speakers and is boosted with a Sony Xplode digitizer/amplifier. The amp is mounted in a hidden compartment in the trunk along with the relocated red top Optima battery. The trunk is just as cleanly upholstered as the rest in nice Beige leather which was even applied under the deck lid. Other very nice interior features include the Billet steering wheel and Ididit tilt column with column shift, cruise control and emergency flasher controls.
This is a top shelf car that is being offered at a fraction of what it would take to build it. It perfectly marries stock '57 Chevy beauty with modern comfort and performance which is an excellent combo.
