1955 Chrysler C-300 The first of Chrysler’s legendary Letter Cars, the 1955 C-300 is widely regarded as one of the cars that helped establish the American muscle car. Finished in striking Tango Red with a beautifully appointed tan interior, this C-300 delivers the combination of styling, rarity and performance that has made these cars so highly sought after by collectors.

Power comes from a 300-horsepower 331 cubic-inch HEMI V-8 built around a 1955 Imperial block while retaining the high-performance C-300 internals, including the solid-lifter camshaft, adjustable rocker assemblies and dual four-barrel carburetors. Power is delivered through a Powerflite automatic transmission. The engine compartment is beautifully detailed with the iconic golden “Bat Wing” air cleaner, special C-300 valve covers and original-style markings and labels, complemented by power steering and power brakes.

The car received a comprehensive body-off restoration in the early 2000s commissioned by noted Chrysler expert Bill Madden, who later owned the car. The Town & Country signal-seeking radio remains functional, while wire wheels and new Goodyear whitewall radials complete the period-correct presentation.
