Just a grand ol’ gal, a green four-door pleasure cruiser ready for the road. She’s simple, runs and drives grand and just begs to be seen. Her originality is only topped by her refreshment, as care and attention have brought back this baby boomer to road-worthiness.
With sticker records and local provenance, it is believed our green clean machine is with just 78,080 original miles. Retaining her factory power-train and original interior keep her 1950 pure. Flat-head power, ultra cool semi-automatic transmission and extra-original exterior bring smiles to both driver’s and observers of this classic. Located in Vancouver, WA she is believed to be a true Northwesterner. She comes with a clean and clear WA title in our Owner’s name.
Dark green, a repaint has taken place sometime in her recent past and she looks pretty darn nice. There are some flaws and nicks, but at no more than 5 feet, she’s just a beauty. Her chrome and brightwork is actually quite nice, especially for her age and it appears quite complete. Lighting and function all appear to be proper and she retains her 6 volt format.
All stock, some items appear to have been replaced with OEM components, while others are most definitely original. Gray cloth upholstery appears to be original on the seats and the fronts have wear. Headliner shows a single 4” tear. Dash is very nice as are the gauge bezels. Steering wheel shows a bit of age, but is really just stunning. All window operation is reported to function properly.
Powered by the ultra-dependable and classic Dodge 230 cid 6 cylinder Flathead, it really just doesn’t get much simpler mechanically. Reported as recently tuned and with all new cooling components (radiator, hoses, belts, etc.) she is a grand runner. Backing is the trend-setting and famed Gyro-matic 4 speed semi-automatic transmission. It performs great and no worries, the Owner will look forward to ‘training’ her new owner on the intricacies of a clutched automatic. All remaining running gear is original and operating proper. Brakes have been addressed with new front components.
No pre-purchase inspection was performed on this classic car. Owner reports that he, since acquiring this year, has performed much work and drives often. He is a car aficionado and loves bring cars back to life, which of course he’s done with this Coronet. He has cleaned and detailed, but not performed any major cosmetics on this fine ride.
She’s a driver, ready for Cars N Coffee, cruising or a Sunday drive. Getting her safer for the road and more dependable was the goal and she’s ready. 1950’s brought new, ‘modern’ style to the American auto market, creating designs that stepped past those from just after WWII. Competition brought out the innovations in auto manufacturing and got those pencils working overtime in the design rooms. And beautiful even with just a few ‘two’ many doors comes a Dodge in the form of a Coronet.
