This Super Straight 1927 Ford Model T Coupe with original steel body and running boards (rubber mats with oak planks under running boards) with polished aluminum step plates and glass fenders has undergone a complete Body Off Restoration. Custom gloss black paint with custom hand painted red pin striping. The original frame was replaced with a stronger manufactured completely boxed frame to handle the new Chevy 350ci V8 engine. The engine has Edelbrock heads, intake manifold, and chromed Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor, chromed valve covers and alternator. A Chevy Turbo 350 automatic transmission with 8.5" 10 bolt Chevy rear end completes the drive-train. Original front axle has been replaced with a 4" dropped I beam axle sporting chrome shocks. All new brake lines and braking system with disc brakes up front and drum brakes in the rear with adjustable rear coil-over shocks. An electric cooling fan and aluminum radiator ensure this car runs cool even in the hottest weather conditions. The dual exhaust with chrome-tipped tail pipes looks and sounds great. The car has been upholstered with a rolled and pleated tan interior with red piping. The roof has been replaced with all new hardwood frame and weatherproof material giving it a vintage appearance to top it off. It has a GM tilt steering column with a nice 15" wood steering wheel. The gas tank is in the trunk. It starts and runs like a champ and is a barrel of fun to drive around town or maybe even in a parade or vintage car run. The white wall tires are installed on chrome and red painted steel rims topped off with baby moon caps. I have a clear Arizona title in hand. The restoration is a few years old and has been driven a bit, so expect some imperfections. The car has been garage parked, when not out for a drive, since its transformation into a real beauty.
The 1926 and 1927 Model T's were vastly improved over previous year models (better fitting parts, etc.). A total of only 66,024 of the 1927 Model T's were manufactured because production of all 1927 Ford models ceased midway through 1927 in order to prepare for the new Model A's that were coming out mid-year in 1927... Existence of the coupes is much less than the total 66,024 T's that were manufactured. It is a CLASSIC... and it is fairly rare.
