I am selling my 1939 International Harvester ½ ton. This truck was featured in Canadian Hot Rod Magazine in a 6 page article called “ Just For Fun” I built this truck 8 years ago with a passion to create something eye popping and unique. The body has a 4” chop including an operational crank out front windshield and Custom Bronze mirror tinted glass on sides and back. The box was shortened 3 ½ ‘ with the fenders being made from portions of original ones. The bones starts with a Custom fabricated 2” x 4” steel chassis and laser cut holey front frame rails. Steering is the very efficient small rack and pinion. The front end is a Speedway motors 32’ Model A 4” drop straight axle with the GM disc break kit. The engine is a professionally built 67’ 327 Camel Hump head, steel crank, Gear Drive, thumper Cam, Chrome Offy Cross Ram with 2 new 370 Holleys. The air intake if a hand crafted all steel air grabber with a built in air filter cartridge flowing from the underside. Turbo 400 trans with a new Lokar shifter. I installed a freshly built 10 bolt S10 diff with New posi and New 4:10 gears. The exhaust is a set of repurposed home made fenderwell headers flowing thru 3” pipes running right to the tailgate. It’s thumping thru 5” Street legal racing mufflers for just the right unique sounds and bark when you get on it. Under the antiqued oak plank rear deck hides the aluminum racing fuel cell, electric fuel pump and the battery for the clean look up front. Rear suspension is Ladder bar with Carrera adjustable coil over shocks. Wheels are powder coated 1929 International 1 ton wheels with custom 2” NC machined aluminum adaptors to bolt right up to the Chev bolt pattern. Factory Original style 20" Firestone tires, tubes and liners from Coker tire. I’m trying to attach a video of it running because words just don’t capture the Sounds.
Asking $23,500 USD and would be happy to answer any other questions you might have about my Truck thanks.
