Description:
This beautiful 1950 Oldsmobile 88 Deluxe was bought in 2021 from a family member of the gentleman’s estate that, according to the family, never got a chance to even drive his dream before passing. The car is a California built car and very little is known about who built what. I bought this awesome looking Olds during the beginning of my own medical issues, with the knowledge that I would have to run the bugs out of it because it was a new build. Although, I did have the car sent out to “put the cherry the on top”, which was adding something I’ve always wanted, a velocity stack fuel injection set up. And I wasn’t wrong. It runs and looks fantastic! Unfortunately, as my medical treatments progressed, I realized that I no longer had the energy I once had to finish up the new build. The car has been under cover and stored inside to date. I have only put about 150 miles on the car myself. This car should be on the road, to be seen and enjoyed, with a new owner willing to take it to the finish line.
The current known items that will need addressing are:
• Power hook up to rear license plate light
• Door and dome light power hook ups
• Door solenoid poppers power hook up
• Electric antenna power hook up
• Electric exhaust cut outs already built into exhaust system, need power hook up
• Wipers, if desired need switch power
• Odometer hook up in new gauge cluster needs power, other gauges ok.
• Two front fog lights, if desired need power
• Fuel sending unit in tank reads incorrect
. Heater all connected, needs power and vacuum.
