Description:
This real-deal 1969 Pontiac GTO feels like it has been scrutinized over every inch to be the best power intimidator out there. So look over all the details, including the slick paint, upgraded suspension, four-wheel disc brakes, and professionally-built 532ci V8. Soon you'll realize this is the big power machine that knows how to leave a lasting impression.
You know this one is a mean machine the moment it comes into view. Pontiac had some nice blues available in 1969, but nothing was ever like this. It is exceptionally dark, and at the same time, it also has a radiant metallic glow. So we wouldn't be surprised if the color had a name like "Look At Me and Be Afraid." There's a terrifically coordinated dark side with the dark front end with iconic hidden headlights, tinted windows, black tail light trim, and modern Fosse alloys finished in a glossy black. And while this is a custom machine, you also get all your classic GTO favorites, like the Endura front end, dual hood scoops, and a full-width rear spoiler fit for The Judge. And while this one impresses with its intimidation, you'll also appreciate the quality. Everything from the fit of the panels to the shine of the rear bumper, you can tell this was a thoughtful build.
More of the dark style continues inside. There was a solid investment here keeping this one looking great while also keeping it vintage. So you not only have beautiful seat upholstery, but it also has intricate stitching and trim. The same goes for the door panels. It looks quite complete, right down to details like the working dome light, and wood-like trim. In fact, the most modern upgrade you're likely to sport is the AM/FM/CD/XM stereo with Bluetooth (after all, a driver's car needs the best driving music.) There are classic driver-ready pieces, like front bucket seats, a center console, power steering, and sporty round gauges. And auxiliary readouts and the B&M shifter make for worthwhile upgrades.
Under the hood is the reason why this coupe earns such a mean style. This is a 532 cubic-inch V8, which is larger than anything Pontiac ever did at the factory, and this one is built by the professionals at Kauffman Racing Equipment. It's a forged rotating assembly, with ported aluminum heads and oversized valves. It's further enhanced with a Quick Fuel four-barrel carburetor, an Edelbrock Performer RPM intake, and long tube headers feeding the H-pipe dual exhaust. You'll also spot good supporting components, like forged valve covers, a MagnaFuel pressure control system, a full MSD ignition, an aluminum radiator with an electric fan, and dual Optima red top batters in the trunk for better weight distribution. Oh yes, this is a serious power car build. The enhanced V8 feeds into a stout TH400 the-speed automatic transmission on its way to the Moser 9-inch rear and Strange Engineering axles. As you look underneath, you'll spot more awesome upgrades like the tubular A-arm front suspension, tubular rear arms, and Wilwood four-wheel power disc brakes.
This is an awesome-driving performance-built GTO restored with all the features you want. So don't let this deal slip away, call today!!!
