Aggressive, affordable, and really cool, a Baja Bug like this 1960 Volkswagen Beetle is going to be a lot of fun for little money - both on the street and trail.
The bold red paint makes it easy to spot this VW. And while a Beetle may be small, a Baja Bug is always big with attitude. These took the tough-as-nails image of the VWs and wears it like a badge of honor. The new fiberglass front hood, clipped fenders, and short rear panel have the unmistakable look of a mean machine. Large 15-inch white wheels look great as part of a lifted suspension package. And if you're going to run at night, Hella spotlights and LEDs front and rear make sure you can see the way forward with ease. The exoskeleton looks terrific and functional with the tubular steel protecting the front end, rockers, and the motor hanging off the rear. And just to make sure no one will mistake this for the standard Bug, there's the cool-looking and very functional shark-fin oil cooler on the roof.
While Volkswagen already built a strong body, this Beetle has been enhanced for off-road duty. That's why you get good features like the roll cage, custom aluminum dash, a proper master kill switch, 20-gallon fuel cell, and a new set of racing suspension seats with Tiger racing harnesses. A sports steering wheel, EMPI shifter, and proper toggle switches on the dash are all about making sure you have firm control in all situations. And while you still have the classic VDO gauge is there for old-school charm, it's now flanked by the right readouts for the info you need.
The engine on a Baja Bug is worth the price of admission all on its own. The 1915cc motor hangs off the cut rear end like an angry beast that doesn't want to be confined. This is only backed up by the tubular cage, and header package that looks like a den of snakes. This motor is part of a quality rebuild that is said to have happened about 100 miles ago. It includes new pistons, rings, cylinder heads, starter, alternator, belt, spark plugs, intake boots, fuel pump/filter, fuel lines, and carburetor. The Tri-Mil exhaust tip adds some burly tones to the iconic air-cooled clatter. Beyond this rough appearance is the reliable flat-four heart we all love in a Beetle. The four-speed manual transmission has a new clutch for maximum control and maximum fun, and the lifted suspension is on KYB shocks to complete this rough-n-ready attitude.
Complete with build receipts, all Beetles were created equal... but only some were modified for pure enjoyment like this. So when a smile machine is this affordable, you know you have to act fast. Call today!!!
