      <title>1950 Austin Other</title>
      <link>https://www.hotrodhotline.com/forsale/vehicles/austin/other/1950/listing/245207</link>
<description>1950 AUSTIN A-70 HAMPSHIRE. YOU WON'T EVER FIND ONE OF THESE AT YOUR LOCAL CARS AND COFFEE. AND YOU WON'T FIND ANY CAR THERE RESTORED TO THIS LEVEL EITHER. THERE WERE ONLY 2 PRODUCED FOR THE NORTH AMERICAN MARKET AS LEFT-HAND DRIVE VEHICLES. THEY WERE ONLY BROUGHT INTO CANADA BECAUSE OF THE BIG ENGINE AS AMERICA WOULD NOT ACCEPT THEM. ONE IS SITTING IN A MUSEUM IN CALIFORNIA AND I OWN THE OTHER. THIS CAR HAS HAD AN EXTENSIVE RESTORATION AND IT WAS COMPLETED ONLY A COUPLE YEARS AGO. NO EXPENSE WAS SPARED. IT RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL 2199CC ENGINE. THIS WAS A BIG ENGINE FOR THE TIME PERIOD. THE ENGINE WAS COMPLETELY REBUILT AND WHEN I SAY IT RUNS GREAT THAT IS PROBABLY AN UNDERSTATEMENT. THERE IS NO SMOKE OUT OF THE EXHAUST AND THERE ARE NO VISIBLE SIGNS OF LEAKING. THERE ARE ALSO NO FUNNY NOISES. THE TRANSMISSION WAS UPGRADED TO A TOYOTA 5 SPEED. SO NOW IT IS A CAR THAT CAN EASILY BE DRIVEN DOWN A HIGHWAY. AT THAT TIME THE COLUMN SHIFT WAS MOVED TO THE FLOOR. AT THAT TIME A SMALL HYDRAULIC RESERVOIR WAS ADDED UNDER THE DRIVERS FLOOR. THERE WAS A SMALL ACCESS HOLE MADE IN THE FLOOR FOR EASY ACCESS. I DO HAVE MANY ADDITIONAL PICTURES FOR THIS CAR AND THIS WOULD BE ONE OF THEM. THIS CAR IS A BLAST TO DRIVE AS IT RUNS AND SHIFTS GREAT. THE BRAKES ARE HIGH AND STOP THE CAR VERY WELL. THERE ARE NO SUSPENSION ISSUES AS THERE ARE NO NOISES OR ANY SHAKING WHEN YOU GO OVER BUMPS. THE DRIVER'S DOOR HANDLE HAS COME LOOSE SO YOU SEE IT FACING DOWN. I HAVE MADE AN APPOINTMENT WITH THE UPHOLSTERY SHOP TO TAKE OFF THE DOOR PANEL SO IT CAN BE RESCREWED IN. IT WILL BE FIXED BEFORE THE CAR IS SOLD. THE WHEELS WERE PAINTED TO MATCH THE REST OF THE CAR AND THEY LOOK GREAT. THE TIRES ARE LIKE NEW AS THEY DO NOT HAVE ANY DRY ROT OR CRACKING AT ALL. THE EXTERIOR IS NOTHING SHORT OF AMAZING. THE CAR WAS DISASSEMBLED COMPLETELY AND EACH PANEL WAS STRIPPED. ALL THE GLASS AND RUBBERS WERE TAKEN OFF AS WELL.THERE IS NOT A DROP OF BODY FILLER AND THERE IS NOT A RIPPLE IN THE CAR.</description>

<description>1960 AUSTIN HEALEY SPRITE MARK 1 Bug Eye Genuinely nice older restoration that has been in storage for the last 20 years. Excellent body preparation and paint work requiring only touch up with the exception of the right rear quarter panel. Red with red interior, seats and dash in great condition. Rear spring boxes are original, rust free as are the rockers. Updated, strong,1275 engine and rib case transmission with a 4.55 differential. Still has drum brakes front and rear. Can provide a 948 engine and smooth case transmission if you want to take it back to original. This is a very clean car. They were very rust prone, most of them have been scraped. <title>1968 Austin Mini</title>
      <link>https://www.hotrodhotline.com/forsale/vehicles/austin/mini/1968/listing/238386</link>
<description>Here we have a 1968 Austin Mini Turbo, a great choice for anyone who doesn't want to drive a large vehicle. It's compact, easy to maneuver, and economical on fuel. The black paint contrasts nicely with the white checked roof and white stripes, giving this Mini a classic yet sporty appearance. The wheels are in good shape, and all the chrome and brightwork present well. LED headlights have been installed, and four auxiliary lights sit in front of the grille, adding both style and visibility. Overall, this is a well-preserved Mini that would be a blast to drive, especially in a busy city where traffic and tight parking spaces are common.

The black interior delivers a small racing-inspired feel. The bucket seats come from a Miata and remain in good condition, offering improved support while driving. The door panels, carpet, and headliner are all in good shape as well. An aftermarket steering wheel has been installed, featuring a quartz clock mounted in the center where the horn would typically be located. Behind the wheel sits a set of aftermarket Smiths gauges in the cluster, along with an added Smiths tachometer. The shifter and parking brake are mounted on the floor in the center. All the glass is in good condition, and while space is limited, there is a small carpeted trunk area for light cargo.

Power comes from a 1380cc turbocharged inline-four paired with a 1-barrel carburetor. A Flamethrower HV ignition system has been added along with a Fletcher aluminum radiator. The engine bay is very clean and tidy, while the engine itself connects to a 4-speed manual transmission. The suspension retains a stock-style setup and works with front disc brakes and rear drum brakes to provide solid stopping power. The car rides on 12-inch wheels at all four corners wrapped in 165/55R12 tires. Exhaust duties are handled by a shorty header that flows into a single exhaust pipe and an aftermarket muffler.

  Highlights:

  •1380cc Turbocharged Inline-4 W/1-Barrel Carburetor
 •Flamethrower HV Ignition
 •Fletcher Aluminum Radiator
 •4-Speed Manual Transmission

      <title>1937 Austin Other</title>
      <link>https://www.hotrodhotline.com/forsale/vehicles/austin/other/1937/listing/211451</link>
      <description>1937 Austin Ten Cambridge Saloon

The Austin Ten is a series of compact cars that was introduced in 1932.  The Ten was also known as the Ten-Four, due to its 10 taxable horsepower, and four cylinder engine.  These cars were offered in a range of body styles, including saloon, convertible, and tourer.  These body styles were given names later in production, such as the Ripley, which was a sports tourer.  Power for the Ten came from a 1125cc inline four engine which sent drive to the rear wheels via a 4 speed manual transmission.  Production of the Austin Ten lasted until 1947.

For consignment, a micro car before the term was even known or used.  Showing as an unrestored original fresh out of long term storage, this is essentially a 3/4 scale Model A if you will, with room for 4 and some luggage in the boot, but in need of full restoration.  This could be a great opportunity to turn some wrenches and make a fun driver or even to take the class win at nearly every show you attend.  Big things indeed do come in small packages and this example is proof.

  Exterior
When you think of Austin you think of England, right hand drive, and her majesty the Queen, and this car fits that image perfectly.  Overall the body remains solid with a few areas of surface rust and fade to the black finish.  This black covers the entire body and curvy running fenders and short rubber lined running boards.  Up front is the chrome bar front bumper with some tarnish and dings along with fender mounted chrome encased headlamps just outboard of the grille corral.  A standard winged Austin emblem adorns the black painted grille corral and sets off the horizontal barred grille nicely.  The driver's doors, right side folks...this is Jolly Old England, is dressed well with matching chrome handles that share a central pillar and up top a black retractable roof insert is seen, which could be construed as an early factory sunroof.  Its miniature wheelbase and 16-inch drilled and chrome dog dish cap style wheels add to the charm of this miniature motorcar.

  Interior
Our right-hand drive version has the original chocolate brown leather buckets up front that show with broad tuck and roll inserts and smooth bolsters.  Some tearing and age wear is noted on both buckets.  These buckets give the interior a touch of class and character that matches nicely with the aged, worn, and most likely original brown vinyl door panels and tarnished cranks and handles.  A simple brown steel dash houses the twin circular gauge pods with a mix of white and black faces in front of the driver; the headlight and ignition switch are here as well.  An original large steering wheel in black bakelite fronts the dash and is complete with a black utilitarian horn button.  A long shift lever protrudes from the top of the transmission and reaches back to the driver's left hand.  With all carpeting removed the flooring shows in surface rusted steel and above is the understructure of the roof, sans a headliner.  A quick shout out to the trunk with its double stacked storage tiers and some spare parts to help along with your restoration.

  Drivetrain
The original and unrestored 1125cc 4-popper is under the short bonnet and is attached to a 4-speed manual transmission. This tiny but capable mill is fed by a 1-barrel carburetor and shows nicely.  This all spins a 5.13 geared rear axle.

  Undercarriage
While unable to span our lift and clearly too low to the ground for our photographer to shoot, I can give you the simple facts from Austin.  Leaf spring suspension provides the ride front and rear and   Girling hybrid hydro-mechanical drum brakes offer up the stopping power and single exhaust is on for the exhale.

  Drive-Ability
While the engine does turn over by hand, we made no attempt to start this mini-Brit.  We note new spark plugs and wires, as well as a new fuel line, so with that said, some tinkering is in order before ignition.

An interesting piece of UK automotive history right here in America, and with an unknown amount of examples still existing, a very rare.  Why don't you turn the wrenches so I can hop in for a tool and leave you with "Chip Chip Cheerio...and all that Rot!"

      <title>1929 Austin Seven</title>
      <link>https://www.hotrodhotline.com/forsale/vehicles/austin/seven/1929/listing/211441</link>
      <description>1929 Austin Seven Cabriolet

The Austin 7 is an economy car that was produced from 1923 until 1939 in the United Kingdom by Austin.  It was nicknamed the "Baby Austin" and was at that time one of the most popular cars produced for the British market and sold well abroad.  Its effect on the British market was similar to that of the Model T Ford in the US, replacing most other British economy cars and cyclecars of the early 1920s.

For consignment, a "Baby Austin Seven" from 1929.  This car is in barn find condition, and was made in England in June of 1929 according to the numbers.  It is a right hand driver, has a 747cc mini 4 cylinder engine, and is a snappy little convertible with seating for 4.  A great little small family car made for the people who are just starting up, and also produced to evade the "horsepower tax" in Britain.  It's nice to see politicians were already thinking of creative ways to squeeze more money out of the general public way back in 1929.

NO TITLE-SOLD ON A BILL OF SALE ONLY

  Exterior
With the ubiquitous 1920's and early 1930's design of a vertical radiator, (this one is nice and shiny), cowled hood, wide firewall and single door per side"tub" for the passengers, also throw on some curved exterior fenders and we are ready to roll.  This car is painted in mustard yellow and has black fenders.  As noted a shiny radiator surround is in front flanked by a single circular headlight on either side.  A framed large windscreen protects the passengers as well as a canvas top which is dirty, has a few tears and a clouded plastic rear window.  On the back of the car is room for luggage or storage in the form of a steel black painted rack in lieu of the rear bumper.  Also a spare tire and wheel is mounted to the back of the bodywork.  19-inch wire wheels are on and wrapped by 3.50-19 rubber, dry rotted and going flat.

  Interior
Yellow vinyl in the form of bomber low back styled front buckets and a rear bench all have some light tuck and roll inserts for the seats and backs with smooth bolsters.  The seats are still in fair to good condition and basically just need a good cleaning.  Upfront, a butterscotch dash in full metal is on and has a few instruments, some levers, and in front of the steering column an oil pressure gauge.  This column has a large steering wheel attached to its top which is encircled in metal.  The floors are ribbed rubber/plastic and a shift lever reaches for the driver.  There are two storage areas which are missing their doors on either end of the dash front.  Door panels are yellow smooth vinyl and present as very simple and utilitarian.  The framework for the canvas too is in good conduit as it moves up and down easily.

  Drivetrain
Under the cited hood is a 747cc 4 cylinder engine.   It has a 1-barrel carburetor and a 3 speed manual transmission on the back with a 4.90 rear axle.  Overall the engine bay has plenty of dull and patina finish and even a slight bit of surface rust, but it's all intact.

  Undercarriage
Some surface rust, but none invasive, and we note transverse leaf springs for the front and leaf springs for the back.  Mechanical drum braking is on all 4 corners, the front brakes are operated by a hand lever, and the rears are with the foot pedal.

An interesting barn find in "Mini" style, a design often copied and lent to many worldwide auto manufacturers which include the likes of BMW, ( DIxie), France, (Rosengarts), Nissan, (Took the Design), and the USA where it was under American Austin.  Will need a bit of TLC but in the end a unique piece of motoring history making it available for the young families.

      <title>1926 Austin Seven</title>
      <link>https://www.hotrodhotline.com/forsale/vehicles/austin/seven/1926/listing/211325</link>
<description>For consignment, a cracking little car that was built for the masses, we give you a 1926 Austin Seven AD, (the AD was thought to stand for ADventure!). This shiny little convertible can seat 4 or even 5 if one is a bit smaller in stature for the back seat. It is in very nice condition overall so let's check out the British version of the model T. And all from a company which would eventually lead to the creation of Jaguar.

  Exterior
An all steel body is led by a black radiator surround with an Austin badge, temp gauge radiator topper and a hand crank. A small steel plate would serve as the bumper if you will, and shows a bit of rust. Flanking the radiator on either side are curvaceous black fenders which eventually turn into running boards and move rearward into a small back fender framing the rear spoked wheels. These all present in black, just like the firewall exterior mounted headlights just below a shiny window frame. The body is all rust free and is bathed in red, from the bonnet to the doors and side panels, and the back of the car which has a spare tyre attached to another black steel plate bumper. On top is a canvas folding top which opens up the entire cockpit to the fresh air. This is a contrasting beige color canvas and is in very nice condition and includes a small rear window. Nice and tidy, a mini model T and decidedly British.

  Interior
A right hand drive car and really the first car to utilize a 3 pedal setup which included a petrol pedal, brake pedal and a clutch. ( Model T's used pedals to shift and are somewhat confusing to drive comparatively). The doors are covered in smooth black vinyl as are the padded and tuck and rolled bomber styled buckets in front and a bench for the back. A simple black full metal jacket dash houses a few instruments and is fronted by a large steering wheel with a throttle lever firmly placed in its center. On the black carpet and rubber floors we see a handbrake which operates the front brakes, and the rear braking is reserved for the floor pedal. A horizontal shift lever reaches for the driver's left hand. A view of the inside of the top reveals black framing and clean beige canvas above.

  Drivetrain
Under the cowled bonnet is a snappy little flathead 4 cylinder engine which measures out to be 747cc's it pumps out 10.5hp, is fed by a 1 barrel carburetor, and has a 3 speed manual transmission. The overall engine bay is in nicely preserved condition, and consignor states that although it currently does not start due to needing a new starter, the car will run well. On the back is a 4.4 rear axle.

  Undercarriage
On the bottom we can see some patina black paint but very little rust. On front the ride is provided by transverse leaf springs, and the rear takes on quarter elliptical leaf springs. Mechanical drum brakes are on all 4 corners and these are in the center of 19 inch wire wheels. The exhaust system is in good condition.

  Drive-ability
With a new starter installed as well a as a fresh battery and some fuel this old girl fired right up and off to the test track I went. Here it exhibited good acceleration and on par braking and handling for a car of its era. A bit small on the inside for this larger than life writer but once inside and acclimated it was quite a comfortable cruise.

"Nearly everybody's got a motor car today
Whatever make it is, it's the best of all, they say.
Well you can keep your 'Austin Cowley' and your 'Essex Six'
Believe me, they're not in it with my little bag of tricks
It's an Austin Seven, a little baby Austin
The cutest little car upon the road..."

From a 1932 song written and sung by Clarkson rose, it sums it up nicely. Not oft seen from jolly old England, with a new starter will provide eye-catching looks and plenty of enjoyment..Cheerio!

      <title>1933 Austin Other</title>
      <link>https://www.hotrodhotline.com/forsale/vehicles/austin/other/1933/listing/211206</link>
      <description>1933 Austin 10 Convertible Coupe

What Ford is to America, Austin was to England. The Austin Car Company mass produced affordable automobiles for Britain's masses. Not only were they affordable, they were reliable, and small enough to be driven in urban areas as well as the open air of the countryside. Like Ford with a similar chassis and numerous upper body styles or designs, it was very versatile, and became very popular quite quickly due to these expertly thought out features.

For consignment and fresh out of long term storage, a 1933 Austin 10 convertible coupe.  A bit of an anomaly, as it is believed to have been built in England and shipped to Butler, PA, but wears many American Austin parts.  Making things a bit more rare is this car has been referred to by a prior owner as an Austin Opal, but produced as left hand drive for America.  Austin experts can gladly chime in if any knowledge is out there to clear up the confusion.  But what we do know is the engine was treated to new rings and a valve job sometime prior to 2013 and the transmission was rebuilt during that time as well.  Read on to learn about this work in progress oddity.

NO TITLE-SOLD ON A BILL OF SALE ONLY

  Exterior
After starting out in the UK upon being built, this Austin eventually made its way to Butler, PA.  The steel body is covered in light blue, and panels are straight and mostly dent free.  Some faults can be seen that have crept in over time, but overall the car has a wonderful patina, and puts on a very nice show.  Black takes over for the undulating fenders and running boards and completes the scaled down Model A look.  Gracing the rear of the passengers compartment is a complete and intact top frame, so it shouldn't be too hard to have a new soft top covering made.  Its miniature wheelbase, and large black spoked wheels, add to the charm of this miniature motorcar from 1933 UK!

  Interior
Our left-hand drive version has a redone bench seat in blue tweed with a broad tuck and roll pattern.  A tight squeeze for 2 full size plus adults, but that's part of the charm of this import.  A simple dash cluster within a black oval houses a mix of gauges from various manufactures and sits proudly in front of the driver.  This all sits within a black steel dash, missing its glovebox door and sprinkled with a few knobs for some extra charm.  An original large steering wheel with an aftermarket horn push button fronts the dash.  A long shift lever protrudes from the top of the exposed transmission and is well within reach of the driver's left hand.  Black wood flooring floats this interior and remains in good condition.

  Drivetrain
A gone through with new rings and a valve job 747cc 4 popper is under the long bonnet and is attached to a rebuilt 3-speed manual transmission.  Overall the bay presents nicely with a touch of patina, but does show a spider web of added wiring.  Out back a 4.40 geared rear axle drives the tires.

  Undercarriage
Too narrow for our lift and clearly far too low to the ground for our photographer, we are left with no pictures, so it's just the facts.  Mechanical drum brakes are noted on the 4 corners and providing the ride is a transverse leaf spring in the front and quarter elliptical leaf springs are on for the rear.

  Drive-Ability
Noted to have ran and been drivable in 2013 this car should be road ready with a few weekends worth of wrenching.  All is complete and ready to be tuned back to perfection.

An interesting piece of UK and USA automotive history, and with very few examples still existing, a very rare example...So, break out the tools and get this one back on the road.  I leave you with "Chip Chip Cheerio...and all that Rot!"
