      <title>1941 Buick Other</title>
      <link>https://www.hotrodhotline.com/forsale/vehicles/buick/other/1941/listing/250544</link>
<description>It's long. It's luxurious. And just a quick glance at this 1941 Buick 90 Limited Limousine conjures up images of affluence. This is one of those select vehicles that has the magnetism to capture the attention not only of enthusiasts but casual passersby and, when you consider that the Carlsbad Black paint this classic wears is almost certainly original, you'd have to say it has weathered the passing years pretty well. Sure, you'll see evidence of aging upon closer examination, but the overall sturdiness of this lengthy cruiser is beyond question. If you trace an imaginary line along the running board between the front and rear wheels, you'll see no sagging to be concerned about and its chrome trim and the bumpers both fore and aft, are still securely in place. Plus, how often do you see limousines dating back more than 80 years on the road? Or anywhere else, for that matter.

When you climb inside, you can't help but think about the multitude of big occasions this Buick 90 has seen, and this hallowed interior is still in clean shape. The seating throughout the cabin was revitalized not long ago, so it's nice and fresh and has a great feel to it. One of the defining characteristics of this particular Buick 90 is its center divider with its glass window, created to provide a sense of privacy between driver and passengers. This specimen is one of only 669 produced with this coveted feature, and while the divider will need a bit of attention to return to full functionality, the rarity it confers is beyond question. Farther forward, the dashboard presents well, with an assembly of original gauges that are still working as intended.

As you raise the substantial hood on this vintage Buick, you'll notice right away that the engine compartment has been well-maintained and remains in its factory configuration, with an expansive straight eight-cylinder engine at its center that's surrounded by belts, hoses and other soft parts that are still in fine shape. The powerplant is equipped dual two-barrel carburetors and pairs with a 3-speed manual, column-mounted transmission. Better still, this one-of-a-kind ride is still fully capable of answering the call of service, tracking surprisingly straight for any vehicle of its era and stopping without issue via its quartet of drum brakes.

  HIGHLIGHTS

  • STRAIGHT 8-CYLINDER ENGINE
 • DUAL 2-BARREL CARBURETORS
 • 3-SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION
 • FACTORY-CORRECT CARLSBAD BLACK PAINT
 • 16" FACTORY-STYLE WHEELS
 • 7.50-16 WHITEWALL TIRES
 • BLACK VINYL UPHOLSTERY
 • BENCH SEATING
 • EXCEEDINGLY RARE DIVIDER WITH GLASS WINDOW (CURRENTLY INOPERABLE)

One of the most evocative vehicles you're ever likely to come across, this head-turning 1941 Buick 90 Limited Limousine cruises on a set of 16" stock-style wheels that are outfitted with whitewall tires to maintain its thoroughly authentic appearance. If you're searching for a truly rare vehicle that can't help but become an instant conversation piece wherever it goes, this one certainly deserves a very close look. Call 813-501-1630 to make sure its still available and place a deposit! Be sure to ask about our services offered; Financing, Vehicle Protection Plan, Insurance, and Transportation to your driveway!

      <title>1948 Buick Other</title>
      <link>https://www.hotrodhotline.com/forsale/vehicles/buick/other/1948/listing/237689</link>
<description>1948 Buick 50 Series Super Sedanette

For consignment, a 1948 Buick 50 Series Super Sedanette showing 78,883 miles, but the true miles are unknown due to exemption. This street rodded version had a frame off restoration and its jet age body line has an impressive presence and unique color.

  Exterior
The word "clean" comes to mind as trim and molding has been deleted, custom tail lights are frenched into the body, flush door handles take on the body's teal paint, and fluted bumpers now hug the body and wrap around to add subtle accenting to the profile. The two stage paint makes Buick's desire to create an airplane inspired body evident as the front fenders dip dramatically through the door and meet the articulated fenders in back. Up front, modern smoked headlights loom over a grille that would make a walrus envious, with enormous vertical bars and broad surround. In back, an inset third brake light has been molded in with a body detail that's in line with the license plate box. 15-inch Unique Wheels are on board. Imperfections include various paint chips and touched up scratches, cracking paint, and bubbles, (especially in the back).

  Interior
We open the doors to reveal stylish panels of gray velour with vertical stitching, button accenting, and an embroidered palm tree that picks up the exterior's teal color. The material and stitch pattern continues on the broad bucket seats, also in gray, and the bench and sidewalls in back, all presenting cleanly. A three spoke steering wheel shares the column with a modest tachometer, fronting the glossy gray painted dash that presents in vintage style. The original AM radio is still in place with the iconic push buttons with Buick spelled out and a newer AM/FM/CD radio is located below the speaker grille, the only thing veering from original configuration. Gray carpet floods the floor, a gray velour headliner is up above, and the trunk is finished in gray carpet and all of it is in clean condition.

  Drivetrain
Under the hood we have a 350ci V8 with a 4-barrel carburetor and mated to a 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission. Power is routed to the 10 bolt out back. There are headers on board and some chrome dress up parts in the bay.

  Undercarriage
We find very clean conditions underneath and mostly dry other than a few drops of oil on the flywheel cover. The dual exhaust runs through FlowMaster mufflers, then exits out back through big chrome tips. Power brakes are employed with disc in front and drum out back and suspension consists of coil springs front and rear with swing arm included in back.

  Drive-Ability
This mix of old and new provides a comfortable and attractive cabin and instills confidence as the 350 starts up and sends us on our way. Around the test loop, the provides good acceleration, nice handling, and braking on demand, not to mention a pleasing exhaust note. Of note is the trip odometer not registering and the passenger door cannot be opened from the outside. Beyond these things, all functions operate as intended and we steer the sedanette towards the mall. While Classic Auto Mall represents that these functions were working at the time of our test drive, we cannot guarantee these functions will be working at the time of your purchase.

These were stunning cars when new, and this build and customization includes some very nice modifications. Surely, this is one of one and you won't find many classic Buicks in teal either! Most of the exterior imperfections could be corrected with a bottle of touch up paint and the interior is essentially turnkey enjoyment waiting for a new pilot in this jet age inspired car.

      <title>1923 Buick Other</title>
      <link>https://www.hotrodhotline.com/forsale/vehicles/buick/other/1923/listing/211554</link>
<description>1923 Buick Series 23 Model 35 Touring Car

"For the 1923 season, Buick substantially improved their models styling, with domed front and rear wings, and more rounded coachwork, equipped with scuttle mounted side lights and drum headlights, in keeping with the new design a new radiator grille also debuted, which would remain a feature of Buick cars for four years.  In this year Buick would see its one millionth car built, as production for the model year increased by 60 percent over 1922, to exceed 180,000 units."  Thx to Christies.com

For consignment, an unrestored 1923 Buick that's complete and even a bit shiny, making this a great candidate for restoration.  We'd say rare, but as we learned, Buick already had a million cars on the road by 1923 and while they were common back then, how many have you seen recently?

Note: NO TITLE-SOLD ON A BILL OF SALE ONLY

  Exterior
The black lacquer paint still retains some of its satin finish indicating this car was likely undercover for a good part of the past 100 years.  Oh sure, there are scratches and cracking, some minor rust and other imperfections, but that's to be expected.  We're not going to assume the Grand National got its monochromatic inspiration from this car, but looking at it, the grille is black, the wheels are black, the gas tank and exposed suspension are black too!  Overall, the body is straight, and the tan canvas top is in great shape having been replaced at some point.  The 31-inch wooden spoke wheels look great too and the period license plate is a nice finishing touch.

  Interior
The leather on the door panels is dry and cracked but the door actuators are in place.  The bench seats in classic coach style are also rough but no major tears are worn, so perhaps savable.  The front floorboard is now in the back while the wood steering wheel and timing/throttle assembly are still in place, as are the gauges on the dash.  The shifter would be floor mounted if there was a floor, but for now, you have full visibility of its linkage and the actual transmission.  Pedals are intact and occupy the footwell.

  Drivetrain
The original 170ci inline four-cylinder engine is on board and is fed by a Marvel K10-514 1-barrel carburetor.  A 3-speed manual sliding gear transmission provides forward momentum and mechanical drum brakes are on the rear axle slow it down.  The engine looks complete and turns by hand, but of course shows its age.  4.60 gears are in the rear axle.

  Undercarriage
The underside presents well, most components protected by black paint.  The single exhaust looks new and has a single stock style muffler.  The wood is tired and surface rust appears in spots, but overall, not bad for a 100 year old ride.  Plenty of oil and grime are noted around the rear differential and transmission, but we all get crusty when we get old.  Residual oil on the oil pan.  Again, patina and age, but everything, including the massive leaf springs at both ends, look complete.

A once common now rare Buick that you can get running, or use it's solid bones and great start for a full restoration.  Either way, the Buick Club of America is active nationwide and will surely have members who know their way around the Model 35.  Maybe you're one of them?  You already see the potential!

      <title>1918 Buick Other</title>
      <link>https://www.hotrodhotline.com/forsale/vehicles/buick/other/1918/listing/211295</link>
      <description>1918 Buick E50 Series Sedan

Other than the above, there is absolutely no reason this car, through any features, or configurations, was made for a doctor.  As above, they were reliable.  Then there is the Cadillac factor.  Doctors were paid by patients and pulling up in a Cadillac may give them the impression that they have plenty of money, and because of this stigma, they may just not opt to pay.  SO Doctors bought the Buick, as it was less ostentatious, still had plenty of luxury, and they were more apt to get paid!  Offered for consignment is this Buick E50 Series sedan right out of 1918.  Similar to the Cadillac of the era, but without all the ostentatious prestige that comes with Cadillac ownership, this car comes to us out of long term static display storage, but has been previously restored and is ready to have some new life breathed back into it.

  Exterior
First and foremost, this tall and thin car is wearing an older restoration.  It has aged well and appears to need just a simple buffing and waxing to bring it back up to snuff.  Beautiful olive green dancing in between black above and below is giving a taller look to this already tall car.   Starting from the roof down, classy and classic black drenches the roof and all of its support pillars before coming to an abrupt halt at the upper body beltline embossment.  From here the olive green takes over, encompassing the second body bump out and dripping downward to the lowers of the body.  This green also graces the long contoured dual cowled hood that is complete with side cooling louvers before ending at the blacked out capless radiator surround.  A Buick badge in blue leads the way on the surround and black trimmed headlights hang off the sides, connected by a black tiebar.  No front bumper, just straw colored framing and suspension that are exposed for all the world to see.  Black fenders are connected by a running boards that run along each side of the car and sandwich the green nicely.  4 doors with tarnished ring style handles and a wrap-around rear tub along make up the body of this 7-window car.  Four 34-inch wooden spoked wheels along with a single spare mounted to the back are seen on this car. with all wrapped in 34x4.5 wide whites.

  Interior
Yards of textured check pattern broadcloth in a tan color way cover the front bucket seats, as well as the rear bench seat.  The buckets sit within tan tubs and show with various tears of the upholstery, exposing what may be the original material and padding underneath.  A sprawling rear bench, in the same material and color races between the mohair clad sides and while this seat has no tearing but there is substantial staining.  Small folding "jump seats" appear from the back of the buckets and could double as a footrest if one chooses not to use the floor mounted board rest.  Faded, tattered and soiled tan textured carpet floats this interior and the long armed shifter and parking brake handle rise from the center, just in front of the dash.  More tan textured cloth adorns the door panels as well and the headliner to boot with all presenting varying degree of soiling and water stains.  A wood rimmed 4 spoke steering wheel with spark advance and throttle controls rests atop the long black column and a tilt out windshield is noted above the black steel dash.  Speaking of the dash, it is bedecked with a smattering of factory gauges and push-buttons for the lighting, all showing a properly aged patina.

  Drivetrain
A massive inline 241.6 inline 6-cylinder Buick power plant sits under the folding hood.  This mill is dressed in slightly greasy and worn straw yellow paint and is a mechanical marvel with exposed pushrods, rockers and valve springs.  The engine does turn over by hand but we made no attempt to start the car or drive it.  A 1-barrel updraft fuel system is seen, and this engine is overhead valve. The transmission is a 3-speed which needs to be double clutched, as most cars of this size were for the time and a 4.61 geared axle turns the back tires.

  Undercarriage
A light coating of surface rust is seen underneath on the untreated components and the wooden floorboards and running boards remain solid though.  The framing has a nice coating of straw yellow paint and the rest of the undercarriage follows suit with a slight but appreciable patina to it.  Leaf springs give the ride for the front and back and mechanical drum brakes are on the rear, which was the standard of the industry in 1918.

A massive car when sitting next to a typical Model T.  Plenty of interior space and has the potential to be a nice car with some work.  The Buick sedan for the wealthy who wanted to remain fairly anonymous but enjoyed the finer things in life, now it's your turn....doctor.
