      <title>1953 Chevrolet 3600</title>
      <link>https://www.hotrodhotline.com/forsale/vehicles/chevrolet/3600/1953/listing/248885</link>
<description>1953 Chevrolet 3600. I bought this really cool and solid survivor barn find 53 chevy 3600 3 quarter ton truck to use for advertising my business. It was from a local farmer. I bought it, brought it home, and got it running and driving and have been using it around my local town for advertising my business and driving it around our farm and to our local trout streams during summer. It was missing the bed as the previous owner took it off 20 years ago and put on a short flat bed. The original flatbed wood was rotted away so I replaced the wood and used it to put stuff on the back and I had High school kids sit on it to use in short parades/pictures.. This Chevy truck has a amazing patina and cool survivor look. The truck runs well. I am running it off a aux tank as the original tank is dirty and should be cleaned out or replaced. It does run off the original tank but I saw a lot of dirt in the fuel filter so I always used a aux tank to be safe. The 4 speed manual shift shifts all gears and the 216 engine runs great and starts right up. This is not a restored truck. The tires are older and show weather check. If you took it to the next level I could see replacing them as they are pretty old. It has some play when driving 3 rd and 4 th gear (Watch the video as I have a shot inside driving it). once you get to use to it it is not too bad etc. It is hard to steer at a stand still as there is no power steering, but once you go it gets easier. You can hear it a bit when you turn, it probably needs to be heated up a bit to make it easier. I left the body original with original paint. It is a very solid body overall. I saw some rust on the bottom of the cab corner passenger side. The floors look good. I saw some rust starting on the inside part above the windshield. The brakes stop the truck. I usually have to pump them a few times before I use it. The speedo was not working.</description>

      <link>https://www.hotrodhotline.com/forsale/vehicles/chevrolet/3600/1951/listing/248670</link>
<description>1951 Chevy 3600 Bought this truck in 2016 from an older gentleman. He had the truck since 1971. I got it to use as advertising for my business and short drives around my land. The 216 engine runs good. The gas tank had rust, so I am running it off an auxiliary gas tank. The brakes stop the truck, but you have to pump them a bit to get them to grab. It’s fine for what I am using it for, but it should be updated to work better for road drives. The 4 speed manual trans on the floor shifts all gears like it should. Clutch feels good. The floor is solid, and the seat is supportive and there. It can use re upholstery. I used a seat cover when I played with it. The tires are older, and weather checked, they hold air but after a few days the front passenger side goes low. I would recommend replacing them if driving more. The body is original how I got it and has awesome patina. You can still make out faintly a business logo on the door. Pretty cool. The truck in my opinion is solid overall for being a unmolested survivor. There is a rust spot on the driver kick panel and some minor small dime size type patina holes around the body/ inside of box. The truck has a great look in my opinion. The bed has a sheet of plywood in it as the original wood was rotted away, worked great for us as we put hay bales and pumpkins in it for advertising fall time. The glass is foggy, the driver window is cracked and should be replaced. This should make someone a neat truck you can play around with while you take it to whatever level you want. <title>1954 Chevrolet 3600</title>
      <link>https://www.hotrodhotline.com/forsale/vehicles/chevrolet/3600/1954/listing/228451</link>
      <description>1954 Chevrolet 3600 Pickup

For consignment, a 1954 Chevrolet 3600 pickup with a title verified 47,566 actual miles and as a former farm truck, it's not unrealistic to have lower mileage, however this may be hard to back up as the odometer is not working. Careful records indicate constant maintenance dating back to 2007 and the engine has been rebuilt at some point. The truck combines a show worthy presentation with some old school patina parts, just the right mix that tells the story of its former working life.

  Exterior
Bermuda Green over Onyx Black is the color configuration, a classic blend of colors that puts a green body over black fenders and running board with single stage coverage that shines pretty well. It's the grille and bumper, all in ivory paint, that retain chips and surface rust and stories. The fixed rear window, part of a five window set up, looks over the long bed beautifully finished with honey colored oak planks and stainless rails leading to a tailgate where Chevrolet is embossed and painted in white, flanked by simple round tail lights. 16-inch steel wheels are painted silver, including the spare mounted on the running board. Imperfections include paint chips on the edge of the door, a hole in the running board, a dented scuff on the front fender, and random scratches.

  Interior
Green paint adorns the inner doors where no panel exists and the window is framed in ivory. The saddle brown bench seat is covered with an Indian blanket seat cover and seat belts for three are provided. For the times, this working truck has a robust steering wheel that leads to a simple ivory colored dash housing two gauges with six bits of information, rimmed in metal with patina. The dash is steel and wonderfully utilitarian, and our consignor has added a magnetic bottle opener for your soda pop as you work your way through the fields in summer. And you don't need carpet in a working truck and this one is appropriately covered in a rubber mat and from down here, we note the vintage heater and defroster mounted under the dash, because farmers don't yield to a little chill in the air! The ivory headliner is cracking and aged, but mostly intact and the five window setup allows in lots of light and allows you to survey your land in 360 degrees.

  Drivetrain
Under the hood, a driver quality and rebuilt 235.5ci inline 6 cylinder fueled by a 1-barrel carburetor and set into motion via a 3 on the tree manual sending power to 4.11 gears out back. Drum brakes are found on all four corners.

  Undercarriage
Surface rust dominates the frame except towards the front where it was coated with red oxide primer. We have some oil under the engine and nearby components as well as the rear differential, grease build up in certain areas, not too bad by the knuckles where fresh grease is seen. We note some rust on an inner panel of the cab skirt and on the inner rocker. A single exhaust leaves the engine and runs through a stock style muffler before exiting just before the rear bumper. Leaf springs make up the suspension front and rear.

  Drive-Ability
We would don overalls and a straw hat to complete the vintage look, but we don't own them, so Dockers and a Classic Auto Mall hat will have to do! The truck cranks to life and rolls out into the agricultural air of Morgantown but relegated to our test loop where it tracks straight, provides endless visibility, and has a great ride height. You won't win any races in this truck, but you'll reliably get from one edge of your property to the other. We note the speedometer, odometer, wipers, and turn signals are not working but all other functions, and there aren't many, continue to operate! While Classic Auto Mall represents that these functions were working at the time of our test drive, we cannot guarantee these functions will be working at the time of your purchase.

Chevrolet half ton 3100's are fairly common in the collector market, but 3600's come up less often, and rarely in this kind of condition. This is a great ode to the industrious age of America when trucks were seen almost exclusively as tools of work. Here's a fine example that has earned show status simply by its vintage, and solidified by its condition and presentation.
