      <link>https://www.hotrodhotline.com/forsale/vehicles/chevrolet/corvette/1966/listing/257019</link>
<description>INTRODUCTION: There's not many cars that deliver an experience as exhilarating and satisfying as this 1966 Corvette! Shifting through the gears while listening to the roar of that 427 bellowing through the side pipes is enough to put a smile on anyone's face. Just as impressive is the meticulous body off frame restoration. The fit, finish, and attention to detail are exceptional, making this a Corvette you'll be just as proud to admire in the garage as you are to drive on the open road.

EXTERIOR: It is better than it would have been new at the factory! I went around this body closely and the fit and finish is outstanding. I did not see any signs of body work, and everything fits precisely. The power bulge hood hints at the big block 427 beneath it. The headlights open and close properly, and the doors click shut with a solid, precise feel. It has been repainted in its original Rally Red, as indicated on the trim tag, and the finish is polished like glass. All of the chrome, trim, emblems, and weatherstrips have been replaced, and even the glass has been replaced. The black convertible top is in like new condition. It retains a factory power antenna that is functional. The side pipes not only enhance its aggressive looks, but the sound is absolute music. It is rolling on reproduction gold line tires wrapped around beautiful knockoff wheels.

INTERIOR: The interior not only looks meticulous, it feels right, with outstanding fit and finish throughout. The seats have been completely rebuilt and recushioned, with upholstery that fits without a wrinkle. Fresh carpet has been installed front to back, complemented by reproduction floor mats. Door panels, window cranks, and interior hardware have all been replaced or restored to correct specification. The entire dash area is mint, including the dash pads, instrument panel, and fully restored gauges, along with the correct 6,500 redline tachometer for the 425hp engine and the proper AM/FM radio. The glove box door is new, the liner has been replaced, and the courtesy light functions as it should when opened. A genuine teakwood steering wheel adds a period correct finishing touch. The center console houses the correct reverse lockout shifter, and the bowtie seat belts are in like new condition. All interior lights are operational. In the rear compartment, the car retains the correct jack and the lead hammer for the knockoff wheels, completing a highly authentic and properly detailed restoration.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Under the hood's very impressive, starting with the L72 427 four and a quarter horsepower big block engine! It has high compression, solid lifters, and the factory aluminum intake, and it was just rebuilt to factory specifications. The engine carries the correct casting codes, and the number stamped on the pad matches the number of the car. It's been detailed out very nicely with the correct valve covers, air cleaner, and ignition shielding in place. It even features the deep groove pulleys so the belts stay planted at high RPM. The hoses and clamps are reproduction, all carefully selected to match original appearance. Overall, it's very well detailed and properly put together, looking like it just rolled out of the factory.

UNDERSIDE: This Corvette received a body off frame restoration, and the attention to detail is evident throughout. The chassis has been completely rebuilt and beautifully detailed with a smooth black finish, while the original fiberglass floors remain in their correct natural fiberglass appearance and are exceptionally clean. It features fully independent suspension front and rear, with all of the steering and suspension components restored. The four wheel disc brake system has been completely rebuilt, including new brake lines and hoses, and the e-brake assembly is fully functional. The fuel system has also been restored. Looking up at the drivetrain, the engine is spotless in correct Chevy Orange, complete with the proper starter and canister style oil filter. It is backed by the correct Muncie 4-speed transmission, with a restored driveshaft leading to the rear end equipped with 3.55 posi gears. Even the fiberglass spare tire carrier is in place, completing this exceptionally well restored undercarriage.

SERVICE: We take pride in our cars and our reputation. Every vehicle goes through our service department where it is inspected, test driven, and we address the essentials before offering it for sale.

CONCLUSION: I look at collector cars every day, and this one genuinely impresses me! It has the looks, the performance, and the meticulous quality that separates it from the rest. You can go inspect and test drive a hundred 1966 Corvettes, but I believe this one will rank among the very best. If you're looking for one you'll be proud to own, show, and drive, this is it!

<description>1966 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe – 427 / 4-Speed This 1966 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe has undergone an amazing restoration and is finished in stunning Rallye Red (code 974) over a spotless red leather interior (code 408). Power comes from the desirable matching-numbers 427ci L36 V8, rated at 390 horsepower, paired with a 4-speed manual transmission and side exhaust. The car is well equipped with AM/FM radio, power antenna, seat belts, and a Holley carburetor, along with new bolt-on components and tires. Both the exterior and interior paint are rated a strong 9/10, reflecting the high quality of the restoration. The odometer shows 95,910 miles. A beautifully restored, numbers-matching mid-year Corvette offering the ideal combination of performance, presentation, and collectibility. <title>1966 Chevrolet Corvette</title>
      <link>https://www.hotrodhotline.com/forsale/vehicles/chevrolet/corvette/1966/listing/238324</link>
<description>INTRODUCTION: One owner from 1970-2025! #s match and documented with protect-o-plate. 61,000 actual miles, no rust issues, mint original body. This one is a sweetheart! Sold new to Sue Welch at Phinney Chevrolet, NY on 5-7-66. Rare, only 564 Corvettes were built total in 1966 with a 3-speed!

EXTERIOR: Few cars can match the lines of a C2 Corvette coupe, and this example is exceptional. Believed to be a no-hit, all-original body, it shows no signs of damage or stress cracking, and the panel fit is outstanding. The doors shut with a reassuring precision, and the headlights operate exactly as they should. It has been refinished in its original Milano Maroon Metallic, applied evenly and topped with a deep, glossy clear coat. The bumpers have been rechromed, and it retains the correct antenna and bowtie mirror. Factory side exhaust-an absolute must, in my opinion-adds both visual punch and an unforgettable sound. It rides on 1965-style goldline tires updated to modern radials for better drivability, mounted on the proper spinner hubcaps.

INTERIOR: The interior is virtually spotless. It features beautifully fitted carpet from front to back, including a set of reproduction floor mats. The seats are upholstered in the optional genuine leather, while the door panels and dash pad are in mint condition. The instrument panel houses a clean, fully functional set of gauges-right down to the working clock-and it retains the original AM/FM radio. The console includes the correct three-speed shifter along with the proper clips for the factory seat belts. The glove box door is mint, and inside you'll find the original pouch complete with manuals and the Protect-O-Plate documenting the car. Even the interior lights are fully operational, rounding out a cabin that is both authentic and exceptionally well preserved.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: The engine compartment is highly correct, proper, and impressively original. It retains its born-with 327 V8 rated at 300 horsepower, with dates, codes, and the matching VIN all aligning as they should. It features the correct manifolds, valve covers, and even the proper air cleaner, along with the complete ignition shielding. The correct radiator and expansion tank are in place to keep it running cool. Overall, it presents as an unmolested, well-preserved engine bay that reflects careful ownership rather than abuse.

UNDERSIDE: Underneath, this '66 Corvette is so clean it looks like a frame-off restoration-yet it's an unmolested survivor that has been exceptionally maintained and detailed. It retains its factory four-wheel independent suspension and four-wheel disc brakes, all in excellent working order. The frame and chassis components are smooth, properly prepped, and painted, while the fiberglass floors are pristine with no damage. Even the spare tire carrier is remarkably clean. Looking up at the drivetrain, the engine is tidy and correct, including the proper starter and the rare, original three-speed manual transmission. Out back, it still carries its original coded and dated 3.36 rear end, completing a remarkably authentic and well-preserved undercarriage.

SERVICE: We take pride in our cars and reputation. Therefore, we built a 2 million dollar, 10,000 square ft service center, and hired a team of technicians to service the essentials on every car we sell.

CONCLUSION: If you truly understand the difference-and appreciate the special appeal-of a low-mile, unmolested original car, you're going to love this one. This is exactly the kind of honest, well-preserved Corvette that serious collectors hope to find.

Vehicles are displayed in a museum setting. Admission applies without an appointment and is refunded with purchase, including a one-year museum membership.

      <link>https://www.hotrodhotline.com/forsale/vehicles/chevrolet/corvette/1966/listing/237132</link>
      <description>1966 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible

For consignment, a 1966 Chevrolet Corvette convertible with a title verified 41,071 actual miles. After some long term storage, this car received fresh brakes, new wheels, fuel line, pump and sending unit, as well as other parts and service to make it a drivable car.

  Exterior
Two stage Laguna Blue Metallic shines on this car like never before and the new owner will have the choice of three configurations. You can go with the contrasting white canvas top, leave home with the black vinyl fiberglass hardtop, or head out with the top down and enjoy the wind in your hair! It doesn't matter which you choose because when you're driving a '66 Vette with side pipes, there's simply not much that can disrupt your coolness. Fantastic chrome on the rear split bumper reflects the dual lights in back, one red and one white on each side. In profile, the 15-inch wheels look great wrapped in 205/75R15 tires with a late 2024 date code and the triple fender vent is worthy of being photographed and framed on the merit of its singular beauty, and the same could be said about the stinger hood and hidden headlights. Flaws include minor imperfections in the paint, a small scratch above a rear wheel, and a few rock chips in front.

  Interior
Beautiful dark blue doors present essentially flawless with contrasting silver hardware and trim. The bucket seats are blue as well and other than some minor wrinkling, they are in great shape too behind the simulated wood steering wheel. That in turn fronts a fantastic instrument cluster in textured black plastic and silver painted rims, while the blue dash pad cascades to the center stack and houses a clock, vertical radio, and various knobs. Our first touch of patina shows up on the passenger cover where the glovebox has minor scratches. But the center console, which usually shows wear, is in nice condition and the blue looped carpet below is consistent with the interior as is the fully lined, clean trunk.

  Drivetrain
Big, orange, and clean is how we find the period correct 427ci V8 with a consignor stated 390 horsepower. The power plant wears new reproduction valve covers and a rebuilt Holley 4-barrel carburetor and Holley intake. It's mated to a Muncie M20 4-speed manual transmission that routes power to 3.36 gears with Positraction. The engine has newer spark plugs, the radiator was recored,

  Undercarriage
While there's some patina on metal components underneath, there's also a few that look, and are newer including the tie rods, idler arms, ball joints, and shock absorbers. Our consignor informs us there are new rotors and calipers on all four disc brakes, a new master cylinder, and wheel bearings. The dual exhaust exits via side pipes and suspension includes coil springs up front and the complex configuration of a frame anchored differential, three link, tubular axle drive shafts, transverse strut rods, and transverse leaf spring on back.

  Drive-Ability
The big 427 starts right up and we row the chrome knob of the shifter into place and roll the newer tires out on the test loop. She not only sounds great, but provides plenty of power underfoot as the throttle responds to pressure. Super handling, great tracking, and all those new brake components work together to stop the car on a dime. Our consignor told us the headlights don't rotate up and he was right! He also let us know the fuel sender is not working and the vinyl hardtop from a '67 is missing the rear pins to position the top. Beyond these things, all functions operate as they should. While Classic Auto Mall represents that these functions were working at the time of our test drive, we cannot guarantee these functions will be working at the time of your purchase.

Here is a good looking and well sorted 1966 convertible Corvette that checks all the right boxes, from side pipes to multiple tops to a 427 under the hood. Don't feel pressured, but take under advisement the information that 1966 Corvettes sell very well and very quickly here at the mall. This is a classic that's high on many wish lists!
