The underbody of this car is unrestored but with many of the factory chalk marks still present. The suspensions on the C4 Corvette is less brutish than previous generations yet improves handling making this a great candidate for weekend autocross competition. Equipped with the standard-equipment Bosch ASR (Acceleration Slip Regulation) traction-control system that automatically comes on when the car is started but can be switched off by a button above the headlight control giving full control to the serious driver. Braking is world class on this Vette with four-wheel power disc brakes equipped with Bosch ABS system. Ride quality can be controlled with a 3-position variable shock damping system that features a Tour Sport and Performance mode to meet whatever your driving needs are. Power assisted rack-and-pinion steering is nicely weighted and features a quick turn-in response. This black paint on this car presents well with some light swirl scratches but shines with a deep luster. In 1992 Chevrolet softened corners and added squared-off taillights vastly improving the lines of the more boxier early C4s. The exhaust tips were also changed from round quad tips to dual rectangular outlets to reflect the new powerplant and complement the new taillight design. The wheels have been upgraded with aftermarket lightweight aluminum wheels and are wrapped in Nitro GT gatorback radial tires that subtly enhance the already racy looks of this Corvette as well as the handling of the car. The tan cabin features black trim and bolstered seats upholstered in leather. The interior shows very light wear with some sun fade in the carpet and light soiling on the driver's side floor. The dash features ergonomic wrap-around instrument panel with analog gauges which is a diversion from the previously square digital dash and often problematic dash pods of the early C4's. Buttons on the instrument panel were changed in 1992 to black to make them easier to read. The tan convertible top is in very good shape showing only some very light wear and the rear window features rear defrost and has some light hazing present. Exterior All pristine black covers all the fiberglass, which remains in good shape.  A few scrapes are noted on the lower body but otherwise the paint is looking beautiful.  A clamshell hood and black removable targa top are just the basics.  Further investigation reveals hidden headlights, body matching integrated bumpers front and rear, and aerodynamic straight fiberglass panels with well minded gaps throughout.  Simple badging, and round inset tail lights with dual dual horizontal chrome tipped exhaust are seen on the rear of the car and pop up headlights in full working glory protrude upward on the nose when headlights are turned on.  17-inch shiny Centerline wheels wrapped in nicely preserved radials adorn each corner. Interior The dream continues with black leather covered high back buckets that have tan panel inserts.  While being grabbed by this leather, use the side and console controls to electronically put you exactly where you want to grab the wheel, shifter, and press the accelerator to start your drive to hyperdrive speed.  A smooth black center console races forward to the dash, and houses some storage, seat controls, and the shift lever.  Moving up into the center of the dash is an AM/FM/Cassette/CD changer capable JVC radio, temp and airflow controls, all push button.  This panel makes a sharp left in an upward curve and melts into the analog cascade of orange numbered and lettered gauges, which huddle around a central vertical rectangular orange LCD readout for speed, and mileage.  Nice clean tan carpet with black Corvette embroidered mats covers the floors and storage area and shows little fading overall in the back. Drivetrain This is where things get juicy folks.  As the story goes, the owner of Corvette Paramedics was lucky enough to come into a stockpile of LT4 V8 engines and our consignor was fortunate enough to purchase one of the rare mills.  Let me catch my breath and get ready for some tech to be thrown at you, and awayyyyy we go...A former LT4 5.7L V8 now is displacing a 383ci of power thanks in part to a forged Eagle crankshaft, Eagle rods and Diamond pistons.  The block has been fitted with ported LT4 cylinder heads, a custom ground Comp Cams roller camshaft, and Comp Cams roller rockers.  Going further into this killer mill we note a port matched intake manifold and FAST XFI electronic fuel injection.  If that was enough of a power boost for you, a Procharger D1SC has been bolted on to provide an even further kick in the shorts.  Bolted to the back is a 700R4 4-speed automatic with a 3,200rpm stall converter that sends power back to a limited slip 2.59 geared rear axle. Undercarriage Looking underneath, just as nice as the topside, with no rust, slight patina, and very clean, even devoid of road dirt!  A solid construction with extra stiffness to carve those curves is noted.  Independent coil springs for the front, and a 5 link transverse leaf spring rear suspension is seen as are 4 wheel power disc brakes all around.  Plenty of lightweight materials have been utilized for this suspension and underside mechanicals, all for more power from that killer V8 upfront.  Melrose headers are on for the big exhale and send spent fossils rearward through a pair of Random Technology high flow converters before passing through a stainless Corsa muffler set and piping. Drive-Ability A quick starter and hopping inside those leather seats just grab you.  After achieving a perfect driving position, it was off to the test track where she performed just beautifully, with rocket-like acceleration, handling on rails, and quick stopping.  Steering was tight, and it provided a smooth ride at cruising speed.  My crack decoder wasn't up to the test track trip with me, but he did note a bit of blue smoke seen from the tail pipes during start up.
