      <link>https://www.hotrodhotline.com/forsale/vehicles/chevrolet/nova/1972/listing/250639</link>
<description>Now here's a fine representative of one its manufacturers' most coveted classic car offerings. This 1972 Chevrolet Nova SS Tribute wears a factory-correct Silver Pewter color that appears so distinctive that you'd likely believe it was custom-created. It features a fresh, vital condition, with tight, consistent gaps surrounding the doors, hood and deck lid. The front and rear bumpers are properly aligned and show no evidence of having run into any immovable objects, and it's badged to give a nod to its model's top-tier Super Sport configuration.

The factory-correct black vinyl interior is in downright impressive shape, with a pair of high-backed front buckets that straddle an aftermarket, drop-in center console and appear to have been installed not all that long ago, judging from their smooth, uncreased surfaces. Glance above you and you'll see a well-fitted headliner. Take a look below and you'll likely notice how well-preserved the carpeting is. Floor mounted manual shifters were a hallmark of classic Novas in Super Sport configuration, and the example here sits within easy reach of the driver, ready to take the transmission through its gears. The air conditioning system on this vintage Chevy blows strong and cold, but may need a little attention to get it back to top form and an AM/FM/CD stereo with an auxiliary port pairs with rear-deck mounted speakers to fill the cabin with sound.

It's not easy to find a classic from this era that can match this Chevy's rock-solid driving condition. Its 350-cubic-inch V8, equipped with a Quadrajet four-barrel carburetor, is in particularly good form, starting right up and offering smooth acceleration, and the 4-speed manual Saginaw transmission just behind it shifts through its gears while putting full control of the engine's output in the hands of the driver. Point this Nova down the road and it'll track straight ahead, and its feather-light power steering makes navigation a breeze. Power brakes that feature discs up front provide a level of dependable stopping ability that pairs nicely with frequent driving and, with an upgraded master cylinder in place, they're well positioned to perform properly for quite some time. The distributor cap was also recently replaced to allow the ignition system to perform at its best.

  HIGHLIGHTS

  • 350-CUBIC-INCH V8

      <title>1972 Chevrolet Nova</title>
      <link>https://www.hotrodhotline.com/forsale/vehicles/chevrolet/nova/1972/listing/238454</link>
<description>INTRODUCTION: This Nova has the look! Its deep jet-black paint shines like glass and sits proudly on a set of polished wheels that are guaranteed to turn heads wherever it goes. Under the hood is a stout 350 backed by a 4-speed trans and a Posi rear end, promising an engaging, muscle car driving experience every time you hit the road. Restored to a very high standard, this car delivers the style, sound, and performance enthusiasts want in a classic Nova.

EXTERIOR: This is a seriously good looking car with outstanding presence. The body is exceptionally straight, clean, and free of any visible problem areas - no bubbles, cracking, or signs of damage. A cowl induction hood adds an aggressive touch, while the deep black paint is polished to a mirror finish, reflecting like glass from the rockers all the way to the roof. The chrome appears to have been replaced and shines brilliantly, the moldings are polished. It's decked out with SS badging, a blacked out grille, and matching tail panel. Both the windshield and rear window have been replaced for a fresh, clear appearance. It sits with a perfect stance on 18-inch wheels wrapped in performance tires, giving the car a muscular look while enhancing handling and road presence.

INTERIOR: I'm sitting in the car as I write this and it is very tidy! Down on the floor the fresh carpet fits real nice without wrinkles and it has carpeted floor mats, the best part is the Hurst shifter sticking out of the hump. The seats and headrests have been reupholstered, the side panels are new along with the armrests, even the window cranks and handles were replaced. It has a new headliner that fits tight as a drum with new matching visors. Even the rear shelf and speaker grilles are new. The mirror and dash pad are fresh and it has a new deluxe steering wheel on a tilt column. The instrument panel is very clean, it has a tachometer in the dash and a retro stereo in the factory hole which also has an auxiliary plug. Down below the dash are GM temp and oil gauges.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Under the hood sits a 350 from a Z-28, upgraded with a hotter cam, an Edelbrock Victor Jr. aluminum intake, dual-feed Holley carburetor, HEI ignition, and a set of coated Hedman headers. It's tastefully dressed with a factory style dual snorkel air cleaner and finned aluminum valve covers, blending performance with an authentic appearance. Features include power steering and power brakes, and the engine bay presents exceptionally well with proper, fresh-looking components throughout including a cadmium plated brake booster, correct alternator, clutch fan, and related hardware. Cooling is handled by an aluminum radiator fitted with the proper shroud and a chrome top cover. All metal surfaces are neatly painted, and the bay is fully detailed with finishing touches such as operational windshield washers, suspension dust shields, and a Delco battery topper for a factory inspired look.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Under the trunk lid and the jamb are neatly refinished in black. A reproduction weatherstrip and decal have been installed for a correct appearance. Inside, the trunk is solid, clean metal finished with an attractive spatter paint coating. It is completed with a reproduction trunk mat and includes the jack assembly.

UNDERSIDE: It appears to be clean and proper, maintained as needed. The fuel tank was recently replaced. It has a custom dual exhaust system with electric dumps, crossover pipe and stainless magnaflow mufflers. There's disc brakes in the front, drum in back and the e-brake assembly is hooked up. Looking up at the motor it's a clean Chevy orange and a heavy duty scatter shield connects to the Muncie 4-speed. The trans and linkage looks fresh. In back the 10 bolt rear end has 3.42 posi and a chrome cover.

SERVICE: We take pride in our cars and reputation. Therefore, we built a 2 million dollar, 10,000 square ft service center, and hired a team of technicians to service the essentials on every car we sell.

CONCLUSION: Let's face it - you buy a car like this to be seen. Wherever it goes, it will draw attention, spark conversations, and earn plenty of admiring looks. It has the kind of presence that makes people wonder who's lucky enough to be behind the wheel. The only question left... will that person be you?

The steering and suspension was completely redone and upgraded with fat tubular control arms, lowering springs, gas shocks, billet spindles and a heavier swaybar. In back is a four link setup with tubular control arms, coilover adjustable gas shocks and a panhard bar. The fuel system was replaced and compatible with the fuel injection motor. It has a custom exhaust with stainless mufflers and was coated. There are drilled and slotted disc brakes at all four of the wheels. Looking up at the motor it has an aluminum Holley oil pan and high torque starter. The trans is a 4L60 overdrive automatic for easy highway cruising. <description>1972 Chevrolet Nova Sedan

Classic cars are candy for the eyes, and are a record of how we have progressed in technology and design over the years. This eye candy could best be described in the candy world as an all day sucker, or an everlasting gobstopper. It is definitely a show stopper, this subdued gray restored example is showing off as long hanging fruit from our vast inventory. Purchased as a project car, the left front fender was replaced with a non rusted unit, new fiberglass bumpers installed, a steel cowl induction hood added and the engine removed then treated to a cosmetic clean up, very few stones were left unturned. The car was then shipped to Vision Motorworks for a new wiring harness installation along with other restoration items tackled. With straight steel panels, nice chrome, a worked V8 engine, and 14-inch rally wheels, we can have you ready to turn the key and go off into the sunset, albeit somewhat fast!

  Exterior
From its single headlight on either side upfront, chrome and black egg crate grille, shiny trim surround and nice body matching fiberglass bumper below we are firmly planted in 1972 bowtie muscle. Straight charcoal gray painted steel minds its gaps and is devoid of any trimmings on the sides save for some thin chrome trimmings around the marker lights and a 406 engine call outs. On front we note wide darker charcoal ghost stripes stripes racing rearward which graces the low rise all steel cowl induction hood. For 1972, smooth long nicely descending B pillars frame the rear glass, and seamlessly melt into the trunk deck. Speaking of the glass, the sides and rear have been tinted and now have a dark purplish hue. A side view has great lines and bringing up the rear is a rounded back roll pan with wrap around bumper and tail lighting just above. On all 4 corners are 14-inch Chevrolet rally wheels. A very nice overall presentation and you can still read on..'cause you're gonna love it!

  Interior
A swing of the doors and black vinyl molded with some horizontal ribbing, chrome levers and cranks, and a horizontal strip of applique show up as straight as arrows on these door panels. Turning our attention to the interior, we see high back buckets with smooth black vinyl bolsters and hobnail light gray broadcloth inserts. These in front and a somewhat worn black full vinyl bench in back all float in a nice calm clean sea of slightly faded black carpeting. Above in front is an original configuration dash direct from GM but now with a later model speedometer cluster with some wood applique dress up staring right at the driver. The Road Gear AM/FM/Cassette stereo is to the driver's lower right and hanging from the bottom of the dash are a trio of aftermarket gauges monitoring water temp, oil pressure and volts. In the middle of the buckets protruding from the hump is a B&amp;amp;M ratchet shifter with a T-style handle. Above is a nice tight headliner rounding out our tour.

  Drivetrain
Pop the hood and within the restored engine bay now sits a V8 engine in consignor stated 406ci form. It is painted orange on the block, and has matte black Chevrolet badged valve covers and air cleaner cover. A single 4-barrel carburetor runs through an Edelbrock Torker intake manifold, and power goes rearward through a TH350 3-speed automatic. On the back is a 10-bolt rear, and the consigner states the gear ratio is 3.73 and is a posi-trac version.

  Undercarriage
Some slight surface rust but mostly patina black painted steel all straight and structurally sound is seen underneath. Floor pans and rockers are solid, and we note an independent coil spring front suspension working with leaf springs and traction bars in the rear as well as drum brakes all around. Headers evacuate spent gases from the mill and run rearward through Flowmaster muffler dual exhaust.

  Drive-Ability
My partner in crime decoder and resident car expert, (why do you think I sound so knowledgeable??!), loves early 1970's muscle so he took it for a spin and returned with just a smile on his face! He reported snappy acceleration, bias free panic stopping, good handling and all functions working just fab.

A juicy example of the Nova, now with a newer engine, some bling under the hood, a B&amp;amp;M shifter, a huge amount of recent maintenance and service paperwork, and broadcloth and vinyl buckets up front. Come on in for some muscle from 1972 and was out with a smile on your face sunshine! Drink it in baby!
