1955 Dodge Custom Royal Lance. Vehicle is a full custom. Vehicle was built as a driver and not a total show car. If you are interested in purchasing this custom vehicle keep this in mind. This is not your super slick, built strictly for show car. This is a driver. Although in the 23 years, and some 25,000 plus miles, that this car has been on the road, it has won numerous awards including a top 25 award at the KKOA Leadsled Spectacular. Vehicle was also featured in Car Culture Deluxe Magazine, April 2010, and also had a spot in Kustoms Illustrated in issue #23. Vehicle was always driven to events, never trailered. Trip was made to the KKOA event four times. Over a 2000 mile round trip. Never had any issues. Vehicle was purchased through reputable dealer, from California, in 1998. Vehicle did run and drive, although not very well, when purchased. Was just and old pink, black and white old dodge. Aside from some minor areas, vehicle was rust free. There was a pinhole rust area on the roof side that was repaired with fiberglass. It was to minor to cut out and repair by cutting out and welding in metal. There were your usual dings and dents but nothing major. Vehicle is now 23 years since that repair and to this date there is no deterioration of the repair. ^There is now a small area starting to bubble on the lower right side ahead of the rear wheel. Vehicle still runs the ORIGINAl 270 Hemi. Although it has been totally rebuilt it is still the engine she was born with. It has a 3 carburetor set up but only the center carb is functional. Engine has a .40 overbore with new pistons, camshaft, etc. It is now backed up with a 1995 Dodge 46rh. overdrive transmission. Have complete specs. Rear end is from a 1985 Mopar with a limited slip and a 2:94 ratio. You can cruise down the highway at 80 mph. in overdrive, at 2000 rpm., getting around 22 mpg. All glass is still original.
