<description>Few cars in the history of the autoverse have the power to elicit a visceral response from non-enthusiast passers-by. Typically reserved for Italian exotics and hypercars, only a handful of vehicles can turn heads and quicken heart rates just by the mere sight of them. All it takes is one look at this first-generation 1994 Dodge Viper RT-10 Supercharged, and it's easy to see that this swoopy, low-slung domestic supercar is on that very elite shortlist.

Inside, this venomous vehicle proudly shows off its Spartan ethos. A tall center console separates a pair of surprisingly comfy and very supportive grey leather bucket seats. A three-spoke airbag-less steering wheel sits just ahead of a white-faced 180 mph speedometer and 7,000 rpm tachometer. An upgraded AM/FM/AUX/CD Kenwood head unit, along with a CD changer, feeds sound to large central speakers mounted between the seats and to kickpanel speakers along the doors, providing an all-encompassing sound experience. If a big V-10 motor and a killer sound system aren't enough, this Viper also has a PlayStation 2 tucked into its passenger-side door panel, allowing for even more fun (while parked, of course). While not factory-installed, this Neo-Cobra comes with its first-ever optional air conditioning, a rare feature for a first-gen Viper.

Under that massive front-hinged clamshell hood, we find an equally massive 8.0-liter overhead-valve V-10 engine upgraded with an ROE supercharger. Originally making 400 horsepower and 465 pound-feet of torque from the factory, this Viper's venom packs nearly double that punch, making over 700 horsepower, which sounds incredible bellowing through those throwback side pipes. That big block power is funneled through a six-speed manual transmission upgraded with a lightweight aluminum flywheel and beefier McLeod clutch, before being sent out to the stock Viper rear that transfers that plethora of ponies to a set of five-spoke 17-inch Viper wheels shod in steamroller-sized 335/35ZR-17 Pilot Sport rubber, while a set of 275/40ZR-17 Michelins handles steering duties up front.

When it debuted, this 1994 Dodge Viper RT-10 Supercharged could sprint from 0-60 mph in a scant 4.5 seconds and rip through the quarter mile in 12.6 seconds at 114 mph on its way to a top speed of 165 mph. While no official times are available for this far more powerful car, it is safe to assume those numbers can be easily eclipsed after a bit of a learning curve. If you are like so many of us who can't help but instinctively react to the visual drama of a first-gen Viper like this one, don't wait another second to follow that gut reaction. Call today!
