      <title>1936 Ford Convertible</title>
      <link>https://www.hotrodhotline.com/forsale/vehicles/ford/convertible/1936/listing/215891</link>
      <description>1936 Ford Convertible Sedan
The Model 48 was introduced in 1935 to follow up with the popularity of the 1934. It was offered up with 10 different body styles. The design was refreshed in 1936 with a different front grill and slightly modified side panels. The V8 version was known as the Deluxe Model 68. Of the available body styles the Convertible Sedan, like you see here, was one of the more popular and one that you don't see as often nowadays. It is an all original steel body car and has a great look. It wears a Washington Blue paint that has a great shine. This is combined with a custom removable canvas top also done in a Dark Blue. The car has its original style chrome bumpers and all the trim its cleanly mounted in place. Another redesign in '36 was the addition of "artillery" wheels instead of the wire wheels from the previous years. They have a really neat look and are powder coated beige with chrome center caps and wide white wall tires. On the rear of the car is a matching spare in its original cover.
Open up the 4 piece steel hood from either side to reveal the 283 ci V8 that has been bored out to a 292. It runs great and is very worthy of being shown off at car shows. It is fitted with a new Edelbrock carburetor, custom polished valve covers, polished intake and finned air cleaner. It has a new radiator with 2 pusher electric fans and a 6 blade mechanical fan keeping it running nice and cool. The transmission is a Turbo 350 automatic with 2500 stall converter sending power back to the 8 3/4 inch rear end. The car sounds great through the custom dual exhaust with Hooker Super Competition mufflers. The car has been entirely rewired, had the brakes rebuilt and new wheel bearings installed.
The interior is done in Red leather and in excellent condition throughout. From the carpet to the headliner everything looks great. It has front and rear bench seats which is very roomy so the whole family can go for a ride. It has custom door panels with chrome handles and window cranks. The dash is nicely painted and topped off with VDO gauges with electronic odometer that are all working. On the center of the dash is a clock in a very cool piece of billet aluminum engraved with "36 Ford". Below the dash is a custom upholstered section for the Vintage Air AC/Heat system with adjustable vents. In front of the driver sits a new Ididit steering column fitted with an original Banjo steering wheel.
This is a very clean classic Ford that runs/drives just as good as it looks. It beautifully combines vintage styling with some more modern comforts and would make a nice addition to any collection.
Take this beautiful classic home for $79,500.00!
NOW REDUCED DOWN TO $68,000.00!

      <title>1939 Ford Convertible</title>
      <link>https://www.hotrodhotline.com/forsale/vehicles/ford/convertible/1939/listing/202068</link>
      <description>1939 Ford Convertible Sedan
You are looking at a piece of American automobile history. This 1939 Ford Convertible Sedan was originally built by Hotrod Hall of Fame builder, Dick Kraft between 1945 and 1948 in California. It ran at El Mirage dry lakes in 1947 and did the measured quarter mile at 112.52 mph. The car was frame off restored in 2003 and is painted the original Mexicali Maroon. The non removable top was made by the original Carson company in 1948 and was recovered in 2003. It is able to be removed but the current design doesn't allow that to be done like Carson's more modern tops. The front and rear bumpers are off a 1937 Desoto and the rear taillights are from a 1941 Studebaker. The front headlights are original 39 Ford equipped with Halogen lamps. The hood has been louvered and looks great.
This car is powered by a 1948 59AB 286 cubic inch Flathead V8. The motor has an Eske cam, Ross pistons, adjustable lifters, new valves, new 130 amp alternator, 3 5/16 bore, 4 inch stroke, a Mercury crank shaft and new Offenhauser heads with light port &amp; relieve. The intake is by Thickson equipped 2-2 barrel Edelbrock 94 carburetors. It is topped off with a very cool Thickson air breather and has been rebuilt by Flathead expert, Bud Lee less than 200 miles ago. During the rebuild the block was vatted and oil passages were drilled out with the entire oil filter system being redone. The motor is backed up with a 3 speed manual transmission and the original banjo rear end with 3:54 gears. The undercarriage is very clean and solid. It features a 3 inch drop axle with reverse eye leaf springs up front and in the rear. Rebuilt drum brakes provide all the stopping power needed and the dual exhaust runs all the way out the rear and sounds great. Keeping it cool is a new 1939 Walker radiator with electric puller fan and shroud.
The beautiful interior is done in a roll/pleat fashion using Oxblood and Tan leather. With Daytona weave carpeting, the interior is a thing of beauty. Even the door panels and headliner are done in the same high quality leather. It has all new tinted glass and new weather-stripping throughout. The steering wheel is original and in great condition. It has the original headlight switch horn button that still functions properly. A set of new old stock gauges compliments the dash board and the glove box has been signed by Dick Kraft.
The car won the "Timeless Street Rod" award at the Goodguys Lonestar Nationals in 2006 and has appeared in various magazines over its lifetime. It comes with a complete documented history and would be a fine addition to any serious collection. It is truly a car that needs to be preserved as part of Hotrodding history.
This historical Hot Rod could be yours for $79,500.00!
NOW REDUCED DOWN TO $68,000.00!
