<description>1979 Lincoln Continental MkV&amp;amp;nbsp;- 400ci V8- Automatic Transmission- 86,686 Miles Shown- White Exterior- Blue Interior&amp;amp;nbsp; This 1979 Lincoln Continental Mark V represents the pinnacle of American personal luxury, capturing an era when comfort, presence, and unmistakable style ruled the road. Finished in classic white over a rich blue interior, this Mark V delivers the elegant, high-contrast look that defined late-1970s luxury. With 86,686 miles shown, it stands as a well-preserved example of one of Lincoln?s most iconic and recognizable designs.Under the hood lies a 400 cubic-inch V8 paired with an automatic transmission, providing smooth, effortless power perfectly suited for relaxed cruising. While performance was never the primary focus of the Mark V, its torque-rich V8 and soft, composed ride deliver exactly what luxury buyers of the era expectedquiet, confident, and comfortable motoring. This is a car built for gliding down the highway, not rushing through it.The Mark V is instantly recognizable thanks to its bold proportions and signature styling cues, including the long hood, short deck, concealed headlamps, and the iconic Continental spare tire hump. From its wide, cushioned seating to its emphasis on ride isolation and ease of use, the cabin is designed to deliver a first-class driving experience for both driver and passenger. Whether you?re adding it to a collection or looking for a distinctive weekend cruiser, this 1979 Mark V delivers timeless luxury with undeniable character.

      <link>https://www.hotrodhotline.com/forsale/vehicles/lincoln/continental/1958/listing/249358</link>
<description>1958 Continental Mk III convertible. this car is a project. I've had this for about two years and I bought it as an unfinished amateur 'restoration'. My intention was to get it on the road as a driver. Since then I've gotten it running, braking and steering and for a time had the convertible top working, though it doesn't now. It will if you jump the relay behind the back seat. The good: It's a nice rust free body. The factory (resprayed) pink paint is in decent shape, a few scratches here and there around the hood where it was misaligned. All of the body seems look to align well with no sign of sagging or misalignment, except for the hood needing to be aligned. I rebuilt the carb and the engine runs great, starts up cold well, the transmission shifts well, and it brakes well, as I have recently replaced all of the wheel cylinders. Interior is in ok shape, no rips or tears, but some fading, dash pad is original and faded, etc... It would probably clean up better than how I describe it. It has many replaced components. It was kept inside in an enclosed public storage unit for many years by the prior owner and I have kept it inside a garage the entire time I've owned it. What it will need: I had an electrician working on the convertible top and at the time he had it working. He disappeared and left some of the wires to the ignition switch disconnected, so well it starts and the headlights work, none of the accessories nor the top do. Except for the top all of this worked before he started working on it. I have the shop manual with all of the wiring diagrams in it and most likely the wiring needs to be hooked up back to the switch and most things will work. I am not an electrician and don't have the time to address it. The positraction rear end makes noise and will need a new ring and pinion. There is a spare one in the trunk. It has a clunk in the front end, not sure of the source there. The power steering is not operable, probably a fluid leak somewhere.</description>

      <link>https://www.hotrodhotline.com/forsale/vehicles/lincoln/continental/1963/listing/248759</link>
<description>1963 Lincoln Continental. This is a really nice well preserved Original Ford A Code Black It does not have any bondo and very little rust at the normal areas like the bottom of the quarter panels. There is zero body damage and I went thru the entire body with a bondo tester and magnet and all the body panels are aligned perfectly. It shines up nice and is decent looking but to make it perfect it need a paint job, needs a new Top Skin and the seats need attention: the leather is good and no scratches or tears but the piping needs to be replaced. The convertible Top works flawlessly and so do the Rear Window’s Drop-Down/Up feature. Starts and Runs perfectly, stays in charge and does not have any leaks. <description>1969 Lincoln Continental 4Dr. Rear suicide door car. The coolest 4 door car on the road. It has the 460 in it. With just a few things you can cruise this car around as is. It runs, drives, starts and stops. The brakes were gone through and fixed whatever needed. The fuel system was gone through with the tank cleaned, new fuel sending unit and carb rebuilt. I do have a new gas tank that goes with it. I have an original windshield that goes with it. I have a new radiator and dual electric fans that go with it, new starter, I have a full CPP Big brake kit that goes with it, I have a Devious Customs Air Ride kit that goes with it. You will need the tank, compressors and air management for it. I bought air ride setup for it. I had the 3 bad floor pans replaced by a professional welder and they are original floor pans cut from a Lincoln. I have all the interior pieces and all exterior trim but a couple. This is going to be a sweet ride the way it is or restored whether by me or someone else. Yes, this is a great car for several reasons but what really excites me is the color combination! Sold new at Don Ross Motor Sales INC, Tipton Indiana to the owner of Graves Trucking. He owned it until at least 1980, we have registration and inspection receipt.

EXTERIOR: It was love at first sight for me! Out in the sun that Silver Moondust paint against the red interior is gorgeous. There is a lot of sheet metal here and it is straight and clean. It fits real nice, the giant doors shut like new. Repainted one time in its original color, the metallic is laid out evenly and the clear coat is polished smooth and glossy. The correct red pinstripe was hand painted. The original chrome and moldings are straight and shiny. The original glass and weatherstrips are in great shape. The silver padded roof was a part of the Silver Luxury Group. Some classic Lincoln features worth mentioning are the opera windows, big chrome grille, faux continental kit trunk and working hideaway lights

INTERIOR: Cranberry Victoria velour interior is in excellent original condition. The plastic trim, woodgrain, gauges, knobs etc are excellent. The door panels, armrests and headliner are excellent. The comfy velour upholstery still looks amazing. Both front seats are 6 way power with armrests. Down on the floor is the original plush carpet. It is pure luxury and comfort, I want to make it my office!

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Smooth running big 460 4-barrel motor. It is completely unmolested and in stock condition down to the decals. The air cleaner is complete with the duct work and vacuum lines. The heat and air conditioning were serviced. During our service we replaced the radiator. It features power steering, power brakes and cruise control. Very complete, very proper and exceptionally clean.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Pop the power trunk release to find plush red carpet, even on the spare. It has the jack assembly and original spare tire that's never been used. Under the trunk lid is original paint including the factory ink stamps.

UNDERSIDE: It has been well cared for and maintained as needed. There's no rust under this car, the floors are rock solid. It has a correct factory style exhaust with a muffler and resonator. The brakes are disc in front and drum in back, e-brake cables are hooked up. Looking up at the motor it's clean. It has its original C6 heavy duty automatic transmission and cruising gears in the rear end.

SERVICE: We take pride in our cars and reputation. Therefore, we built a 2 million dollar, 10,000 square ft service center, and hired a team of technicians to service the essentials on every car we sell.

CONCLUSION: Nothing compares to the ride these big luxury cars from the 70s have, it is like driving a boat on a cloud! The colors put this one over the top and the Silver Luxury Group makes it even more special.

      <title>1978 Lincoln Continental</title>
      <link>https://www.hotrodhotline.com/forsale/vehicles/lincoln/continental/1978/listing/236678</link>
      <description>1978 Lincoln Continental Mark V

For consignment, a 1978 Lincoln Continental Mark V with a title verified 95,197 actual miles. It has been owned by the same family since 1981 and had about 70,000 miles on it when purchased and has been garage kept ever since.

  Exterior
This stately ride begins with a coat of Cream paint, topped with a matching vinyl half roof accentuated by oval porthole windows in wide, sweeping C-pillars. Other stunning features of the Mark V include triple vent gills on the front fenders, rear quarter window, and covered headlights that flank a Rolls Royce-like grille. Regal lines continue on the back where a Continental kit shapes the decklid that is bookended with tasteful, vertical tail lights and mid panel reflectors. The shoulder line, accentuated by a pinstripe, and profile of the car suggest sharp right angles that do not veer from boxiness, while the slightly raised hood center exudes wind resisting grace. The 15-inch wheels are dressed with chrome wire covers wrapped in 75 series tires. Imperfections include dings on the wheel arch trim, blistering on a door and body, and paint chips on the body with surface rust showing through.

  Interior
The long doors are handsomely designed on the inside with cream leather panels, simulated wood trim, and carpeted lowers and both doors present with some patina. The well cushioned cream leather seats are technically separate buckets, but they present like a pair of adjoined Lazy Boys, accompanied by a pillow top back pad with front seats showing usage and the rear looking fresh. Stylized woodgrain adorns the gold steering wheel which has some early thumb buttons on the spokes while the instrument cluster keeps the quadrangular design with square gauges, including a Cartier clock, next to square vents, all framed in plastic wood. For your listening pleasure, an AM/FM/8-track radio is on board while thick golden carpet is at your feet. The headliner is in good shape and the trunk is lined with gray cloth panels and currently houses a window.

  Drivetrain
Under the long hood we have a 460ci V8, rated at 210 horsepower and topped by a 4-barrel carburetor. A C6 3-speed automatic transmission is behind it, sending power to the Ford 9" in back with 2.75 gears. The bay presents in original, driver quality condition

  Undercarriage
Driver quality here as well with typical surface rust and some on lower panels, as well as oil film on the transmission pan and oil pan. The exhaust comes together to form one pipe that holds a stock style muffler, exiting through a steel pipe behind the bumper. Four wheel power disc brake is at both ends as are coil springs with a 4 link in back.

  Drive-Ability
With a twist of the key the engine came to life and setting into a near inaudible idle. Functionally, the power antenna and power locks are not working and only a few of the passenger's power seat options work. Beyond that, all functions on board available to the driver operate as they should. While Classic Auto Mall represents that these functions were working at the time of our test drive, we cannot guarantee these functions will be working at the time of your purchase.

Add a little English Leather cologne to this car and we're transported to a time when we were sure this was the top of the food chain reserved for rich uncles, or at least those with enough brand loyalty to drive another after III, IV, and V. There are clubs and websites devoted solely to this generation of Lincolns with technical information, historical data, and schedules of events to share some Continental camaraderie.

      <title>1969 Lincoln Continental</title>
      <link>https://www.hotrodhotline.com/forsale/vehicles/lincoln/continental/1969/listing/232697</link>
<description>Limousines have been a staple of automobile production since the early 1900's, although making up a very small percentage of total production. Nearly all early cars were custom coach built is small numbers all usually special ordered for well-heeled clientele. As decades passed, and manufacturing processes improved, limousines started to be honed by premier suppliers, mainly Cadillac in the post war era. Ford Motor Company had exited the luxury limousine market altogether as executives in Dearborn found themselves plenty busy with other automobile segments.

This absence of Ford-Lincoln in the niche limousine market hadn't gone unnoticed by two savvy, young Chicago entrepreneurs by the name of George Lehmann and Robert Peterson. In a chance meeting in 1962, both being race car enthusiasts, Lehmann met chief mechanic Peterson to help him repair a damaged race car he had owned, and the two instantly connected. During their early friendship, the idea of converting the luxurious Lincoln Continental into a proper limousine was born, with their first prototype was created using a brand new 1963 model year sedan. It would be cut and extended 34" at the center creating a 160" wheelbase, with a plush rear passenger compartment with seats facing one another for easy conversation, a proper refreshment bar with hidden ice bin, center divider window, and rear controlled air conditioning.

Lehmann had arranged for the finished prototype car to be delivered directly to Dearborn for Ford executives to review and test for consideration of going into full production. The executives were initially concerned about the overall integrity and safety of the new frame section, so testing was thorough. And after extensive use and over 40,000 test miles, all concerns were put to rest. Ford was very impressed with the conversion and a contract was signed with Lehmann-Peterson for immediate production, and the prototype sent for showcase at the 1964 International Auto Show in New York. Sales orders would be taken directly through Lincoln dealerships.

It nevertheless remained a very exclusive product, with production over the next 7 years totaling approximately 600 units. Owners included celebrities Jerry Lewis, Jackie Gleason, Spencer Tracy, Robert Vaughn, Victor Borge, business magnate Aristotle Onasis, and even Senator Robert Kennedy. When the Pope toured the United States in 1964, he rode in a specially configured Lehmann-Peterson Lincoln Popemobile! Rock stars included the Rolling Stones, The Supremes, and Elvis Presley, all private owners as well! Even the movie screen showcased one in the James Bond movie, Thunderball, in 1965. They were not inexpensive, as the traditional price tag of a Lincoln Continental was approximately $6,000, and the limousine conversion by Lehmann-Peterson increased that investment amount nearly three times! They were produced into early 1970 before the contract with Ford-Lincoln came to an end. Known survivors total less than 150 examples today, so finding one can be quite challenging.

Offered here is a near final year Lehmann-Peterson 1969 Lincoln Continental Executive Limousine finished in a traditional Raven Black over Black Leather upholstery. Powered by its original 460ci V8 producing 325 horsepower, with a 3-speed automatic transmission. Amenities include front and rear air conditioning, heater, 8-way power front seat, power windows &amp;amp; vent windows, power locks, remote outside mirrors, AM radio with power antenna (inoperable), partition divider window, center console bar cabinet with provisions for bottles and 6 pieces of glassware, armrest ice bin, and "Secret Audio" FM radio receiver. On the ground rest brand new Coker American Classic 235/75R15 1.6" whitewall radial tires with full wheel covers.

This wonderful piece of automotive history has been part of our collection since March 2022 after its acquisition directly from Lehmann-Peterson in Arlington Heights, Illinois. It has been meticulously serviced since its arrival to ensure confident use at a variety of local events and weekend shows. This included a complete, professional rebuild of the heads with new valves, springs, &amp;amp; seats, machined mating surfaces, new lifters &amp;amp; pushrods, timing set &amp;amp; cover gasket, front crank seal with water pump gasket. The intake and exhaust manifold gaskets have been replaced; oil pan gasket &amp;amp; oil pump; carburetor rebuilt with flushed &amp;amp; sealed fuel tank &amp;amp; new fuel pump and fuel sending unit, all new fluids with annual oil changes; transmission seals with new fluid &amp;amp; filter; radiator flush with new cap &amp;amp; coolant hoses; reconditioned air conditioning system with retrofit to R134a; rebuilt power steering pump, front coil springs, sway bar bushings, front &amp;amp; rear shocks, and a 4-wheel alignment; brake master cylinder, rear wheel cylinders, all brake hoses, new front brake pads/turned rotors, wheel bearings, fresh brake fluid; complete ignition system with new spark plugs, wires, cap &amp;amp; rotor, condenser, &amp;amp; coil; drive belts, complete exhaust system, starter, alternator, air filter, &amp;amp; battery. Even the wiper blades are new!

It is a terrific road-going example once again and shows just 89,629 miles on the odometer. Only 6 units were produced in 1970, before Lehmann-Peterson sold their assets to Moloney Coachbuilders (still in business today), so these 1969 executive limousines are the last full year production vehicles ever built. It is exceptionally rare and not easily found again! We hope the next owner enjoys it as much as we have. Serious inquiries only please. We look forward to working with you!

      <title>1973 Lincoln Continental</title>
      <link>https://www.hotrodhotline.com/forsale/vehicles/lincoln/continental/1973/listing/215745</link>
<description>1973 Lincoln Continental Mark IV 2 Door Hardtop

For consignment, a 1973 Lincoln Continental Mark IV 2 door hardtop with only four previous owners and they all kept this car garage kept, and it now serves as a rolling time capsule of a time when the Continental was a top tier American luxury car. To quench your luxury thirst this car comes to our Hallowed Halls with a Deluxe Marti Report, the build sheet, and the window sticker.

  Exterior
Approaching the car from the side, the astounding features include a long hood, with body creases to match the shape of the Rolls style grille, the low roofline, the amazing opera window, and the faux Continental kid bulge on the trunk lid. The single stage Yellow paint and wide white wall tires conjure up memories of Huggy Bear and Rooster from 70's detective shows, however neither of them drove a Lincoln! There is a sleekness to this car and when it says, "I've arrived" it means the hood got there an hour before the rest of the car. The hidden headlights add to the mystique and that front bumper does extend to absorb crashes, however the chrome here is in great shape and connects to a polished rocker panel trim that connects, visually, with the rear bumper, also in fine condition. At first, the tail lights seem like simple affairs, until you realize they are contoured with the bumper in which they are embedded, and curve around to join the outermost protrusions. An arrow headed double pinstripe runs parallel to the side body molding, both common features of the era. The white vinyl top shows some discoloration and bubbling under numerous areas. Other imperfections include scuffs on one of the wheel covers and another on a bumper.

  Interior
Luxurious door panels are appointed with white leather inserts, woodgrain applique, and metallic switches. There is plenty of wear on these doors from minor discoloration to tears in the door pull strap covering, to some separation of the plastic panels. White leather covers the front bucket seats in a Chesterfield style design where buttons form pillowy squares. There's compression on the driver's seat, some patina creases, and some discoloration. The rear seat squares remain full looking, and the seams could benefit from some deep cleaning. As is, the luxury in back rivals a limousine and affords passengers some privacy with just a small opera window for exposure. The 3 spoke steering wheel leads to a dash panel completely covered with woodgrain applique and where every feature is square and housing dials with needles sweeping the square. If you've ever wondered how to get a circle peg into a square hole, here's your answer. Burlwood applique is used as a framing for the A/C control panel, AM/FM/Cassette, and other switches and it's all in very good condition mounted to a richly colored plastic dash. Plush black carpet covers the floor in "toes deep" luxury and the white headliner above is in great shape and house shoulder belts clipped to the ceiling.

  Drivetrain
Relatively clean just above driver quality condition sits the big 460ci V8 with a 4-barrel carburetor and rated at 208 horsepower. A C6 3-speed automatic transmission is behind it transferring power the Ford 9" in back with 2.75 gears. Power brakes are supplied in the disc front, drum rear configuration. Other than some dust and some surface rust, the engine appears very stock.

  Undercarriage
With the exception of some oil near the oil pan and some red drops on the transmission pan, the underside is relatively clean and replete with surface rust in the usual areas including the exhaust, driveshaft, wheel components, and inner bumper and body panels. We observed no invasive rust. The single exhaust flows through a stock style muffler and then exits unseen behind the bumper. Coil springs in front and a 4 link with coil springs make up the suspension configuration.

  Drive-Ability
Floaty, and that's what Lincoln was going for. A soft ride that absorbs road imperfections through suspension, 75 series tires, and thick padded seats. Sure, there's some body roll on turns but this is a luxury cruiser, not a slalom racer. Acceleration is good thanks to the 460 and braking is adequate for this 5,064 pound Lincoln. We're happy to report that all functions worked on the car! While Classic Auto Mall represents that these functions were working at the time of our test drive, we cannot guarantee these functions will be working at the time of your purchase.

You don't have to be a street savvy police informant to drive one of these, certainly not in 2024. Now you just have to be someone interested in a once common, now a classic luxury skate. Lincoln enthusiasts are an active bunch, and these are legendary cars now that European luxury cars have cornered the market on high end opulence. When the going gets narrow, keep your eye on the sparrow, and drop a dime on this one.

      <title>1970 Lincoln Continental</title>
      <link>https://www.hotrodhotline.com/forsale/vehicles/lincoln/continental/1970/listing/211770</link>
<description>1970 Lincoln Continental Mark III 2 Door Hardtop

For consignment, a black on black '70 Mark III that the King would approve of.  It has a title verified 54,119 actual miles.  These are stately cars and with the two door configuration, cool cruisers or as Lincoln marketed them, "personal luxury cars".  Less than 80,000 were produced and in 1970, just 21,432 left the factory.

  Exterior
Bathed in inky Black paint from stem to stern, the car has a presence standing still.  The long hood connects with the straight shoulder line of the car which continues to flow over the flat rear quarter.  The trend at the time was square edges and the wheel hump adds a distinctive curve flanked by taillights that are red blades.  The roofline is long and sleek, the rear pillar is wide and traces down to the rear vent grille in the window filler.  The chrome bumpers are in good shape while other metal bits could use some restoration including the side mirror and door handle.  The epic grille is in good shape surrounded by hidden headlights that will forever look cool.  Close inspection reveals some general finish scratches, bubbling at the base of rear window, (common for this model and others), swirl marks, red paint showing through on the lower body and the polished rocker panels could use a re-polishing.

  Interior
For 1970, wood appliqués were replaced with real walnut and that's what appears on the door panels which, combined with the metal backing plates and decorative band, are luxurious to say the least.  The black leather bucket seats have a simpler stitch design than previous years but no less classy.  These appear to be in great condition and the rear seats look virtually unused and would be right at home in a fine steakhouse.  The original steering wheel has been replaced with a wood rimmed, three spoke model.  In keeping with the shape theme, squarish gauges line the dash separated by wood partitions.  The Cartier clock with Roman numerals is especially noteworthy.  A simple AM/FM radio is also in the dash and the passenger's view consists of rich wood and a padded black dash.  Plush, high pile black carpet covers the floor, and the black headliner is in perfect condition.  Four round indicator lights on the overhead console are absolutely classic.  The trunk is clean and finished in gray flannel mats.

  Drivetrain
A 460ci V8 is under the hood, and they were rated at 365 horsepower.  It is fueled by a 4-barrel carburetor and tied to a C6 3-speed automatic transmission sending power to the For 9" rear with 2.80 conventional gears.  Power disc brakes cinch the front while power drums augment by slowing the rears.  The engine bay is very, very clean and we would not hesitate to open the hood for car shows.

  Undercarriage
Overall, a clean underside.  Typical surface rust is seen throughout.  The dual exhaust travels all the way to the rear axle where it meets two stainless steel mufflers then routes over the axle to exit discreetly under the rear bumper.  Coil springs are housed up front while 3-link coil springs and panhard bar are out back.  The only dampness of note is on the rear differential.

  Drive-Ability
I'll never be as cool as Elvis but sitting in this car instantly increases your cool factor.  The big grille leading a massive hood, the low roofline, the tapered rear, it's just so good!  The big 460 sounds great and runs well.  These cars are soft riding and a bit floaty and despite high speed chases on 70's detective shows, you don't want to take turns too fast in these, at least, not without your seatbelt snugly cinched.  Meanwhile we must note some things that will require attention including the inoperable power antenna, power locks, rear power windows, rear defogger, and oh no, the Cartier clock!

You can question his style of clothes and criticize his life choices, but the King had great taste in cars, and black Lincoln Mark III's were among his favorites.  Long, black and considered one of the best Mark designs, we're thrilled to have one in our Hallowed Halls and welcome your call before you hear the words,  "the Mark has left the building...".

      <title>1941 Lincoln Continental</title>
      <link>https://www.hotrodhotline.com/forsale/vehicles/lincoln/continental/1941/listing/210541</link>
<description>This is not your typical 1941 lincoln! This 1941 Lincoln was in one of the most quintessential movie scenes, in one of the biggest movies in the history of film! That's right, The Godfather! This was the car that Sonny Corleone (played by James Caan) was driving when he was ambushed at the toll booth and was gunned down. There were three cars involved in that scene. The first car that he drives up in also known as the "hero" car sold at auction years ago and is currently owned by Jay Leno. Then there were two so-called "bullet" cars... this is one of those, and this is the first time this car has been advertised since 1976! The other bullet car is in a private collection , sitting in a bit of a dilapidated shed and is in disrepair. This car is unrestored and of course still shows all of the holes from the movie. In fact if you look at the scene when James Caan gets out of the car you can line up the bullet holes perfectly from the movie to this car. We do have a few things such as The Godfather movie car license plate that was used at the auction the car sold at in 1976, we have the car list from the production designer Dean Tavoularis showing the manifest of all the movie cars as well as a few other interesting pieces of history. This car was purchased at Kruse auction in 1976 where there were several movie cars being sold, and was then put into storage and hadn't been seen until approximately 2021, where an acquaintance of that owner who had passed away came to the rescue. We have driven the car up and down the frontage road and in the parking lot, but if you have intentions of driving it more significantly than that you'll probably want to give it a once-over to be sure it's long trip road ready. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to own a very significant piece of filmmaking history!
