<description>1979 MG MGB Convertible Nice little car. New Clutch Clean title One rust hole (Shown in pictures) Tonneau cover included Roll bar--this is rare!!! I bought this car a year and a half ago from a long time MGB club member. It has hardly been driven in about 5 years. It will need a little sorting. It has a nice top, good paint, decent interior and a good motor. It has a new clutch. The brakes work well but should be checked. New motor oil and filter and new transmission oil. Good tires. Chrome wire wheels. It has a Weber 2-barrel down draft carburetor. Drives very nicely. In the pictures the left front headlight is out of the car. It had a serious crack and new one was ordered and has been installed. The time to buy is now so it’s all ready for summer fun!! <description>1972 MG MGB. Two MGB Roadsters. The '72 is an original southwest 'rust-free ' car with 69k original miles. It basically needed everything but a rebuilt engine when I bought it. It does have new brakes (pads, rotors, calipers, etc.) Also some new suspension components. I then bought a '73 that had been fully restored and then shortly thereafter was involved in a rollover accident. Otherwise everything on the car was brand new or rebuilt. The two together would make one very nice collectible '72 Roadster. All the parts are there and with plenty left over to sell or ?... Last I worked on the '72 was prepping it for paint. I stopped there. The restored parts car starts right up. As you can see it has a Weber 32/36 carb on a Cannon intake, headers, stainless steel exhaust, aluminum oil cooler, new fuel tank, etc. After I purchased it I was able to drive it down the road and back, just to test out the transmission and suspension, etc. Please Note The Following **Vehicle Location is at our clients home and Not In Cadillac, Michigan. **We do have a showroom with about 25 cars that is by appointment only **Please Call First and talk to one of our reps at 231-468-2809 EXT 1 ** FREE Consignment Visit Our Site Today Easy To List Your Vehicle and Get it Sold in Record Time.</description>

      <link>https://www.hotrodhotline.com/forsale/vehicles/mg/mgb/1980/listing/243498</link>
<description>1980 MG MGB has been indoors for about 10 years, and also well maintained. Paint looks well with no chips other than some parts next to the door and hood jams. Interior is all there but just has a rip on the driver seat, and a few knobs are coming apart, but the tachometer does not function. Does run, front brakes work well but a leak was found on the rear right drum. Fairly new tires were put on with no major dry rot. From what I can tell there is no rust on the undercarriage. <link>https://www.hotrodhotline.com/forsale/vehicles/mg/mgb/1979/listing/239692</link>
<description>:1977 MG MGB — a well-preserved British roadster in great original condition, showing 96,000 original miles. This MGB has been carefully maintained over the years and retains much of its authentic charm, making it an excellent candidate for restoration or repair. It’s equipped with a 4-speed manual transmission, offering the classic, engaging driving experience these cars are known for. Recently, many key components have been replaced, including the shocks, brakes, tires, and fuel pump, giving it a strong foundation mechanically and structurally. The car comes with a clean, current title and is registered as non-operational, meaning there are no back fees owed — ready for transfer to its next owner. However, on its last drive, the engine stopped and now will not turn over, suggesting it will likely require a motor rebuild or replacement. The body and interior remain solid and presentable, making it an ideal project for an enthusiast looking to revive a classic MGB with good bones. Overall, this 1977 MGB represents a straightforward restoration opportunity — a mostly original, rust-free car with a clean title and recent maintenance, just waiting for the right owner to bring it back to life. <title>1978 MG MGB</title>
      <link>https://www.hotrodhotline.com/forsale/vehicles/mg/mgb/1978/listing/235207</link>
<description>It's nimble and low to the ground, with no wasted space and a timeless appearance. Yep, this 1978 MG MGB is the epitome of a sports car. Dressed in high-impact yellow paint that's nicely contrasted by blackened bumpers at both ends and ornamented by chrome trim running the length of its sides, it's simply a great-looking ride and one of those rare cars whose style doesn't really give away its age. If you didn't already know for sure, it might be nearly impossible to tell whether this classic from across the pond rolled off the assembly line recently or decades ago. It's not hard to see why its manufacturer left the model more or less intact for its entire 18-year run, making only minor adjustments - such as the updated bumpers this specimen features - during that time.

The accompanying black vinyl interior has been left in its appealing factory configuration, and while it may show signs of light wear here and there, it still has plenty of life left in it. Climb in, and one of the first things you might notice is the leg room at the driver's disposal. Unlike many sports cars featuring the same approximate wheelbase, the MGB boasts a sizable following of enthusiasts over six feet tall who can navigate their classics without having to contort themselves behind the wheel. The front bucket seats are plenty comfortable for even longer journeys, and they feature pronounced bolsters for support during the spirited driving that would be very much in keeping with this MG's heritage. The factory steering wheel remains in place, and the gauges behind it are all still in good working order. An aftermarket Blaupunkt AM/FM/Cassette stereo is on hand at the center of the dash to provide your own era-appropriate soundtrack during your journeys, and when the skies darken, there's a vinyl convertible top sitting neatly below its tonneau cover, ready to rise into place for protection.

If you put a high premium on drivability, you'll definitely want to take a closer look at this classic. Its 1798cc inline 4-cylinder engine is in fine form, outfitted with a 2-barrel carburetor and teaming with a smooth-shifting 4-speed manual transmission to make for a great experience behind the wheel. Unlike many sports cars from decades past, this MG not only features front disc brakes, but they're power-assisted as well, so you'll have plenty of low-effort, fade-resistant stopping ability at your disposal.

  HIGHLIGHTS

  • 1798CC 4-CYLINDER ENGINE
 • 2-BARREL CARBURETOR
 • 4-SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION
 • FRONT DISC BRAKES
 • EYE-CATCHING YELLOW EXTERIOR
 • LUGGAGE RACK
 • CANVAS CONVERTIBLE TOP
 • 14" ROSTYLE WHEELS
 • BLACK VINYL INTERIOR
 • CENTER CONSOLE
 • BUCKET SEATS
 • BLAUPUNKT AM/FM/CASSETTE STEREO

A timeless reminder that driving has always been an experience meant to be enjoyed, this 1978 MG MGB navigates the asphalt on a set of 14" Rostyle wheels wrapped with Pirelli tires that appear to have plenty of future miles left on them. It would be a perfect match for the classic car enthusiast who prizes open-air motoring enjoyment. Call today!

      <title>1964 MG MGB</title>
      <link>https://www.hotrodhotline.com/forsale/vehicles/mg/mgb/1964/listing/211375</link>
      <description>1964 MG MGB Roadster

For consignment, an all original and unrestored version of the 1964 MGB roadster.  While complete, it is in need of TLC on all fronts to make it a reliable daily driver, or better yet start from scratch and turn this into a concours show winner.  It runs and drives, it also has good looks, and is an all there car with British flair, bloody well right!

  Exterior
From its low-slung bonnet, towards the very clean MG badged grille, and paired curved bumper with pushers, chrome bezel headlights, belt line chromed spear, and black vinyl top we are in the heart of British sports car motoring.  The brightwork in stainless presents well and mosty ding free and this includes the windshield surround, side spear at each beltline as well as the cockpit and headlight trimmings.  This sporty Brit comes to us in Old English White and shows with some scuffs, scrapes and areas of failing bodywork that is mainly reserved for the lowers.  The black top, manually actuated, is tear free but lightly soiled and stained and presents with a somewhat clouded plastic rear window set.  Full-on wire spoke knock off wheels in 14-inch form are complete with spinners attached to the spindles and are wrapped in older 185/70R14 blackwall radials.

  Interior
A nicely preserved red vinyl covered interior with leather buckets in tuck and roll pattern with smooth bolsters are highlighted with white piping and present splendidly with only minor wrinkling of the material.  The door panels are clad in this same red vinyl, again with some white piping dress up and black padded sills.  A patined riddled but clean dash with no cracking or errors sits behind the original banjo style steering wheel, which oddly enough has 3 spokes on the sides and only 2 spokes on the lower ray.  The 4-speed shifter is seen on the hump and is surrounded by plush but heavily faded red carpeting.  Smith's gauges abound as well as the array of control toggles and we note a MG badged radio delete panel in the center of the dash and a purely for show speaker grille below.

  Drivetrain
A 1800cc 4-cylinder fed by dual SU HS4 carburetors resides in the unrestored engine bay.  On the back is attached a 4-speed manual transmission and further down the drivetrain is the 3.90 geared axle.  Patina abounds in the bay but things are looking complete.

  Undercarriage
Heavily invasive rust has taken a hold in a few areas of the flooring and inner rockers.  This invasive rust is also seen in the unibody in numerous areas and will need to be tended to sooner rather than later.  Noted are front disc brakes and rear drum brakes.  The suspension comes in the form of an independent coil spring set up in the front and leaf springs for the rear.  A stock style single exhaust with the factory installed header snakes its way to the back to expel spent fossils.

  Drive-Ability
I donned my driving hat, goggles, and scarf and off to the Classic Auto Mall test track I went.  My cohort always lets me wheel the British cars as I have a soft spot for them....it takes me back to my high school and college days, but I digress...  The car started fairly easily with the twist of the key and off I went.  The wind rushing through my hair, I felt as if I was touring the countryside outside of East Sussex.  Good acceleration, bias free braking and wonderful handling were shown even with a somewhat rough running engine.  This MG took everything I could throw at it on my drive and did it with British charm and manners.  Now, to find a way to sneak this car home without my wife finding out.

A classic British sports car convertible, that can be treated to some TLC and sweat equity and be driven off for a tool with not a care in the world, or taken to the next level and made into a show stopper.  A few safety concerns underneath, but the car is complete and from a very desirable year.  With that I'll say, "chip chip cheerio and all that rot!".
