      <link>https://www.hotrodhotline.com/forsale/vehicles/plymouth/fury_iii/1966/listing/245197</link>
<description>1966 lowered Plymouth Fury 3 wagon. It has a 0 mile fresh built 440 bored over 40. We can throw in a purple lumpy cam with it. It is otherwise stock. There is also a power steering line which needs replacing. If this is an issue for the sale I can bring it to a shop and have it done. Paint and interior as far as I'm aware is factory original and is in great shape except for: Dash is cracked in a couple places, one of the pics shows this. One section of the roof liner is sagging but may be able to be tucked back into the trim. The only significant paint damage is on the hood where it looks like there may have been a box or something placed on it at one point. <description>1968 Plymouth Fury III Sport Suburban Station Wagon

For consignment, a 1968 Plymouth Fury III Sport Suburban station wagon with a title verified 142,754 actual miles.  This car is a four time AACA HOPF, (Historical Preservation of Original Features), winner and one of just 9,954 nine passenger Fury III station wagons produced in 1968. This is a piece of rolling Americana and let's get the number one question answered up front. Yes, there is a rear facing third row!

  Exterior
Gloriously 60's in every way, the long panels are of course adorned with woodgrain applique framed by single stage Matador Red rolling on red 14-inch steel wheels with Plymouth hubcaps. The Fury looks a little furious with the stacked headlights and narrow grille, a squared grimace at the head of a long car, 217 inches in all, with an extended overhang past the rear axle. A flat roofline parallels the shoulder line and between them, glass on glass, a giant greenhouse out from which we watched the world go by, (you know, before iPhones!). The back of the car is a clinic in right angles and a big picture window which would become an entertainment screen for those behind you. The tail lights are integrated into the aluminum bar across the back, low on the body, are fantastic. Imperfections include some scratches, surface rust on the wheels, and just general overall patina that frankly, we wouldn't touch!

  Interior
Like Plymouth cars of the time, grommet accented vinyl door panels with various stitched designs cover the doors and yes, there are ashtrays on the rear door armrests which double as gum wrapper receptacles depending on the age of your passengers. It's crank windows for everyone, and one door is missing a knob. Red vinyl accented with dark side stripes covers the bench seat and our grommets continue to dress things up while a big armrest is center positioned for sharing. The second row bench is no frills but shares the same material and design and also in nice condition and plastic mats that run the expanse of the floor and over the center hump cover the front and second row floor. The back facing third row is a bit narrow and lower, providing ample legroom to end up in a more reclining position and who didn't sit on their knees in front of the rear window making faces at followers? Up front, it's wonderful patina that colors the steering wheel and the instrument cluster cove with a square speedometer to 120 mph, and a number of toggle switches and vent controls on the ribbed metal panel. The standard AM radio is in dash central and maroon loop carpet covers the floor and shows some age, but the long, red perforated headliner is in remarkable condition.

  Drivetrain
Driver conditions prevail under the hood where the 318ci V8 looks small in the cavernous bay topped by a 2-barrel carburetor and mated to a New Process 3-speed manual, (on the tree), sending power all the way back to the 8¾ inch rear with 3.23 gears. Drum brakes are found front and rear. The bay presents as if you drove this car from 1968 and didn't bother detailing it. And that was the norm!

  Undercarriage
Amazingly, no invasive rust is to be found. Plenty of surface stuff as expected and some residual oil on the transmission pan and rear differential along with some grease build up around the knuckles are noted. The single exhaust flows through a stock style muffler before finding its end in a steel pipe. Suspension consists of torsion bars up front and leaf springs in the back.

  Drive-Ability
As a child of the 60's and 70's, the front seat seemed a mile away, and yet here were are in 2025 sitting at the helm and rolling this floaty wagon over the tarmac which is does like a long tank as the 318 pulls the 4,125 pound behemoth around. The wagon tracks straight and provides limitless visibility which you'll need since there's only one side mirror! We note the clock doesn't work, the parking brake will need adjustment, and we're told the gas tank seeps when full. Beyond those things, all functional items on board work! While Classic Auto Mall represents that these functions were working at the time of our test drive, we cannot guarantee these functions will be working at the time of your purchase.

Yes, the rides were long and boring at times. "Are we there yet" is the most common phrase to emanate from the back seats. But we also had time to stare out the window and use something that modern electronics often take away from kids, imagination. Maybe we were a bird, an astronaut, or a race car driver. From the windows of wagons like this, millions of kids dreamed during the day and slept through the night. And moms and dads proudly drove on to Disneyland, Yosemite, Williamsburg, or just about anywhere we wanted to go. This classic is so much more than just another car from 1968!

      <title>1965 Plymouth Fury III</title>
      <link>https://www.hotrodhotline.com/forsale/vehicles/plymouth/fury_iii/1965/listing/230203</link>
<description>1965 Plymouth Belvedere II 2 Door Hardtop

For consignment, a 1965 Plymouth Belvedere II hardtop showing 11,643 miles, but the true miles are unknown. Gone is the pedestrian 318ci V8 and it is now housing a rebuilt 440 under the scooped hood. She's a spectacle in black and rides on police wheels, and there's no crime in that!

  Exterior
Two stage Ebony paint glistens like a vat of ink on this two door car with boxy lines and a fantastic curved rear window that creates a V-shaped C-pillar, wild and unique. If you want to make a black car look meaner, put some black wheels on it, and here we have 15-inch Mopar police wheels with dog dish hubcaps presenting like an undercover FBI unit that's really not all that discreet. Of course, that wide mouth hood scoop is good cover for your stakeout, because it looks more like a street fighter, so cool that even the modern day Demon has a scoop that is reminiscent. Finely cut cells in the 1965 grille stretch the width and surround the single headlights, while 1964 era single and simple rear tail lights bookend the latch panel trim over a straight chrome bumper and on this car, twin chrome exhaust tops, narrow but wide. Paint and metal are very nice on the car with one area of waviness noted as the only imperfection.

  Interior
Bold pleats on the insert of the black door panel constitute the only bit of detail on the simple and clean units, each with a fitted wood armrest. The pattern of pleats is repeated on the black vinyl split bench seat which presents in very nice condition and is copied by the rear bench where the wood armrests are also duplicated. Patina dresses the wood rimmed steering wheel with sport chrome spokes while white faced AutoMeter gauges line the faceplate of the instrument cluster, a brushed nickel affair that shows some patina as well. A big Sun tach is perched on top of the dash while an AM radio lives in the middle and a nod to the grille design is represented in the glove box door. A B&amp;amp;M shifter on the floor could use a new boot and the black carpet shows some age. The headliner is in good shape and the trunk has a vinyl mat showing usage.

  Drivetrain
Under that scooped hood is a presentable circa 1978 440ci V8, the top end of which was rebuilt 3,000 miles ago, says our consignor, and an Edelbrock intake is topped by a Holley 4-barrel carburetor. According to our consignor, the A727 Torqueflite 3-speed automatic behind it was rebuilt 1,200 miles ago and sends power to the 8 ¾ in rear with 3.23 gears. Drum brakes are employed front and rear and headers host the first part of the exhaust journey.

  Undercarriage
Dry conditions prevail underneath and minimal surface rust is noted. Dual exhaust runs through FlowMaster mufflers, then straight back to the widened chrome tips. Suspension consists of torsion bars up front and leaf springs in back. There is a rusted gap on the radiator core support near the frame.

  Drive-Ability
The late 70's 440 roars to life with a turn of the key and your cover is instantly blown on your stakeout, and now it's time to test your mettle in this black beauty. Although she's got good power and track straight, there is some slop noted in the steering and she pulls right on braking. But accelerating to catch bad guys would be no problem at all! Items that are not currently functioning include the radio, the heater blower, the horn, and the tachometer. All other items operate as they should. While Classic Auto Mall represents that these functions were working at the time of our test drive, we cannot guarantee these functions will be working at the time of your purchase.

Once a mild mannered commuter car, now a dark knight with a great profile, an aggressive hood, and bad to the bone wheels. This built muscle car now belongs to the coveted world of Mopar muscle so special that there are entire car shows and gatherings dedicated to that single genre of American automobiles. Are you ready to protect and serve this '65? Fortunately for you, there are no speed limits to how fast you can dial the phone to call us today!
