      <title>1967 Plymouth GTX</title>
      <link>https://www.hotrodhotline.com/forsale/vehicles/plymouth/gtx/1967/listing/255130</link>
<description>INTRODUCTION: This is a very special find, it really is! A genuine 426 Hemi GTX, one of only 312 factory built 4-speed cars, its authenticity is verified by the VIN, original fender tag, and original broadcast sheet. Beyond its rarity, this car checks every box for desirability. It is finished in its drop dead gorgeous factory color combination, equipped with its original 4-speed transmission, Dana 60 rear end, front disc brakes, and white vinyl top exactly as it was born. The rotisserie restoration was executed to an exceptionally high standard in appearance and function, exceeding expectations in both appearance and authenticity.

EXTERIOR: Forget for a moment that this is a Hemi 4-speed, the exterior alone is enough to make this GTX stand out from the crowd. The color combination is absolutely stunning! The body is exceptionally clean, laser straight, and fits beautifully from end to end. There is no evidence of rust, and the restoration quality is evident in every panel. Repainted in its original dark metallic blue, the finish is laid out evenly across the entire car and polished to an incredible high gloss shine. It was born with a white vinyl top, and the contrast creates a striking appearance that draws attention. The chrome, stainless trim, and brightwork are all shiny and beautifully restored, while the tail panel is particularly impressive. Additional highlights include the fender mounted turn signals, correct antenna, and pop up gas cap. Look closely at the hood ornament and you'll even find the subtle "426" callout, a reminder of what's waiting underneath. The door jambs are clean, the weatherstrips have been replaced. It was originally equipped with redline tires, it now rides on radial redlines for improved drivability. They are mounted on gorgeous 15-inch Magnum 500 wheels that perfectly complete the look. Quite honestly, this may be the best looking 1967 GTXs on the planet!

INTERIOR: The dark blue interior is a very appealing feature and perfectly complements the exterior. It has a fresh, well restored appearance throughout. The seats have been reupholstered and retain excellent cushion and support, while the door panels have been replaced and the painted metal trim has been refinished to match. The blue carpet looks great and the headliner looks fresh. A center console sits between the seats and proudly houses the original 4-speed shifter, the centerpiece of any Hemi GTX interior. It is also equipped with blue seat belts front and rear. The entire dash area is clean, original, and unmodified, right down to the factory radio and original clock.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Under the hood is where the legend lives! The entire engine compartment has been restored to appear just as it did when it rolled off the assembly line. At its heart is the original numbers matching 426 Hemi, professionally built with internal performance upgrades that increase output to an impressive 481 horsepower and 525 lb-ft of torque. It was balanced and Dyno tested, complete specs are included. Despite the added power, this beast remains surprisingly civilized. It idles smoothly, drives easily in traffic, and can even cruise through a fast food drive thru without complaint (I did it). Press the accelerator, however, and when all eight barrels open up, you'll quickly understand why the Hemi became a legend. The appearance remains remarkably stock and authentic. The correct dual four-barrel carburetors have been rebuilt, and it retains the proper chrome air cleaner and crinkle finish valve covers. Every detail has been attended to, from the routing of the wires and hoses to the functional windshield squirters. It features a correct Mopar radiator with the proper shroud, clean wiring, hood insulation, and power brakes. The entire engine bay is finished in glossy body color blue and presents beautifully. Adding to its authenticity, the core support retains the matching identification number corresponding to the original fender tag. This engine compartment s so nice I don't think it could be improved upon!

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: It is finished entirely in the same beautiful gloss blue as the exterior. It's clean metal, detailed, and complete with a reproduction trunk mat, fresh weatherstrip, and the proper jack assembly.

UNDERSIDE: The restoration quality becomes even more impressive once you look underneath. This GTX was placed on a rotisserie and restored to show quality factory specs. The floors and frame rails are absolutely pristine, correctly finished in factory-style gray primer with the proper blue body color overspray, just as Plymouth originally built them. The steering and suspension systems have been completely rebuilt including a rebuilt steering box, reconditioned springs and correct shocks. It is also highly detailed, in fact, the underside is so fresh it doesn't even show road grime. 1967 was the first year disc brakes were available and this car was born with them according to the original fender tag. The brake system has been fully restored including the emergency brake assembly. It retains a factory-correct dual exhaust system right down to the correct #s on the mufflers and correct chrome exhaust tips. The fuel system has also been completely renewed. Looking up at the drivetrain, everything remains spotless. The Hemi engine's casting codes are clearly visible. The factory HEMI 4-speed transmission is equally impressive, displaying the proper casting numbers and markings. Out back is the heavy-duty Dana 60 rear end that came with the 4-speed cars, equipped with desirable 3.54 Sure-Grip gears. From the flawless floors to the authentic drivetrain components, the underside of this GTX is every bit as impressive as the top side!

      <title>1967 Plymouth GTX</title>

<description>The 1967 Plymouth GTX wasn't built to scream for attention-it didn't have to. Back in the day they called it "The Gentleman's Muscle Car," but don't let the classy nickname fool you. Underneath the clean lines and refined styling was pure big-block violence waiting to be unleashed.

This beast is powered by what is believed to be the original 440 Super Commando, one of Mopar's nastiest street engines of the era, backed by the legendary 727 Torqueflite automatic transmission. Smooth when you want it, brutal when you lean into it. Out back, an 8¾ Sure Grip rear with 3.23 gears plants the power and keeps this GTX moving with authority.

Finished in eye-searing Bright Red with a sinister black vinyl top, this Mopar carries the exact attitude a real muscle car should. The chrome 15" Cragar wheels finish off the look perfectly-classic, aggressive, and impossible to ignore.

Inside, the black vinyl interior keeps it clean and period-correct with bucket seats up front and a rear bench seat ready for cruising or hauling your crew to the next stoplight showdown. No overdone gimmicks. No fake modern touches. Just old-school muscle done right.

Factory features include power steering, heat, and drum brakes on all four corners-exactly how these street bruisers rolled out during the peak of the horsepower wars.

And for the collectors, this GTX comes with the build sheet along with several additional documents, adding even more credibility and history to an already killer car.

The GTX was Plymouth's answer to the GTO, Chevelle SS, and 442-but Mopar guys knew the truth.
This wasn't just another muscle car.
This was the heavyweight in a tailored suit.
