      <title>1968 Plymouth Road Runner</title>
      <link>https://www.hotrodhotline.com/forsale/vehicles/plymouth/road_runner/1968/listing/251909</link>
<description>This ain't a polished show pony-this is raw, blue-collar Mopar muscle the way it was meant to be.

The 1968 Plymouth Road Runner was built to do one thing: go fast without the fluff. No gimmicks, no luxury nonsense-just big block power, steel, and attitude. And this one delivers that punch straight to the pavement.

Under the hood sits what's believed to be the original 383 Big Block, backed by what's said to be the numbers matching 727 Torqueflite automatic. We're digging into verification, but either way, this thing runs like a proper Road Runner should-strong, loud, and ready to move. Out back, it's got the legendary 8¾ rear with Sure Grip and aggressive 3.91 gears, so when you hit it, it doesn't hesitate-it plants and goes.

Finished in killer Sunfire Yellow with a black vinyl top, this car doesn't blend in-it jumps out and dares people to look away. Sitting on 14" Magnum 500 wheels, it's got that perfect period-correct stance that screams late-'60s street dominance.

Inside, it stays true to its roots. Black vinyl bench seats front and rear, black carpet, no frills-just clean, simple, and honest. Exactly how these cars were built. Pop the trunk and you've still got the full-size spare, jack, and tire iron-because this thing was made to be driven, not trailered.

Manual steering, no A/C, and drum brakes on all four corners-but don't get it twisted. The brakes are dialed in and stop straight, and the steering is surprisingly easy to work with. It's mechanical, connected, and unapologetically analog.

This is the kind of car that reminds you why muscle cars mattered in the first place.

No fluff. No filters. Just pure Road Runner attitude.

      <link>https://www.hotrodhotline.com/forsale/vehicles/plymouth/road_runner/1969/listing/247084</link>
<description>1969 Plymouth Roadrunner. It was featured in a film called residual alibi. I do have the numbers matching 383 on a stand in very good running condition. I have the original 727 that has been rebuilt and sitting on a shelf currently both will come with the car. The car currently has a 512 Stroker motor in it. It has a still crank, Eagle HP rods, forged pistons, Edelbrock dual plane intake, 950 double Pumper, trick flow heads with roller rockers, brand new ceramic coated Doug headers and two half inch exhaust system with Magnaflow mufflers. To keep the Drone out the rear of the car and not in the car. The rear end has a 276 Sure Grip. A 125 horse nitrous kit, two Holly fuel pumps one feeding the motor and one feeding the nitrous. Brand new fuel tank and pick up. Brand new 3/8 line all the way from tank to motor. Brand new complete wiring harness every single thing works in the car! It has a hundred and 120 amp one wire alternator. So the only thing there is the meter inside the car shows discharge but you can easily check there is 14 volts being put right to the battery! All your headlights, side markers, when should wipers, throttle kick down, everything works great this car rides and drives like brand new if not better. It also has subframe connectors, KYB front shock, and coil over rear shocks, the car is an original color inside and out. It came from the factory with a 727 automatic torque flight with the console on the floor. The 727 has been built with all the upgrades and has a 2500 stall converter from FTI that was $850 stall converter and it works beautifully. High torque mini starter, aluminum radiator, all brand new brakes and lines, new alternator, new water pump, new ignition system wires and plugs, recent oil change, Valvoline racing oil only with added zinc to protect the flat tap at cam. Those specs can be found on 440 source.com it is the largest flat topic can they have. But yet it idles great.</description>

      <link>https://www.hotrodhotline.com/forsale/vehicles/plymouth/road_runner/1968/listing/237998</link>
<description>In the history of the autoverse, few cars inspire equal amounts of fear and respect quite like this 1968 Plymouth Road Runner. Fully repainted in a beautiful sky blue hue, this throwback powerhouse is the first year for the iconic Road Runner, looking clean and straight from any angle. Based on the Belvedere body, the Road Runner was stripped down to become the most minimalist muscle car this side of a Shelby Cobra.

Inside, we find a black vinyl interior that has been restored to its original specifications, with the exception of a few tasteful improvements. A roomy split-bench front seat sits in front of a three-spoke, power-assisted steering wheel. An upgraded analog/digital gauge cluster features a 160-mph speedometer and 8,000-rpm tachometer, with a digital display front and center. Two big speakers are mounted under the dashboard and are connected to a hidden Bluetooth radio, while the cueball shifter knob provides even more entertainment than anything on the radio.

Under that aggressively styled hood, we find a period-correct 383-cubic-inch overhead-valve V-8 engine. Fed by a single Holley four-barrel carburetor, spent gases are expelled via a set of long-tube headers, dual exhaust, and MagnaFlow mufflers. That power is routed through a Tremec TKO five-speed manual transmission before reaching the big ten-spoke 17-inch U.S. Mags wheels shod in Nitto rubber.

  HIGHLIGHTS:

  • First Year Road Runner
 • Full Sky Blue Repaint
 • 383ci V8
 • Single Four Barrel Carb
 • Long Tubes
 • MagnaFlow Dual Exhaust
 • Optima Red Top Battery
 • Tremec TKO Five Speed Manual
 • US Mags Wheels
 • Nitto Tires
 • Subframe Connectors
 • Upgraded Sway Bars
 • Four Wheel Power Discs
 • Power Steering
 • Clean Interior
 • Split Bench Seat
 • Upgraded Gauges
 • Hidden Bluetooth Radio
 • AC
 • Service Manuals

Riding on a factory-style suspension that has been modified with subframe connectors and upgraded front and rear sway bars, this 1968 Plymouth Road Runner also benefits from power disc brakes at all four corners. If you've been on the hunt for a truly head-turning legend that commands both admiration and alarm from Mustang and Camaro owners everywhere, then this first-year Road Runner is the one you've been waiting for. Don't wait, because just like its namesake, it will be gone in a cloud of dust before you know it – Beep Beep! Call today! <title>1971 Plymouth Road Runner</title>
      <link>https://www.hotrodhotline.com/forsale/vehicles/plymouth/road_runner/1971/listing/235043</link>
<description>This 1971 Plymouth Road Runner delivers the perfect mix of originality, attitude, and driveability. Finished in a vivid blue that highlights the car's one-year-only "fuselage" body lines, it captures everything that made Mopar's muscle cars stand apart. The look is unmistakable - dual sport mirrors, 14-inch Magnum 500 wheels, and a clean coupe profile that still turns heads half a century later.

Under the hood, a strong-running 360 small block V8 sits topped with an Edelbrock aluminum intake and carburetor, breathing through factory-style HP manifolds and dual exhaust. It fires easily, idles smooth, and delivers that crisp, throaty sound every Mopar fan wants. A dependable 727 automatic transmission and floor shifter put the power right where it belongs. It's the kind of setup that's ready to enjoy today - no trailer needed.

Inside, the blue vinyl bucket seats and console keep things period-correct, while the retro radio adds a vintage touch. Manual steering and manual drum brakes keep the driving experience honest and mechanical, just like the muscle era intended. It's an engaging car to drive, responsive and full of character, offering that pure old-school connection between driver and machine.

The 1971 Road Runner stands out as one of the most distinctive designs of the early '70s, with its bold curves and unique front-end treatment. Production numbers were far lower than the previous year, making it an increasingly rare and desirable model among collectors. Few cars combine this level of style, drivability, and authenticity in such a recognizable package.

If you're looking for a sharp, true-to-its-roots Road Runner that's ready to show or cruise, this blue 1971 coupe checks every box. It's an honest example of Plymouth's performance heritage - clean, classic, and built to be driven.

      <title>1970 Plymouth Road Runner</title>
      <link>https://www.hotrodhotline.com/forsale/vehicles/plymouth/road_runner/1970/listing/233122</link>
      <description>1970 Plymouth Road Runner Hardtop

For consignment, a 1970 Plymouth Road Runner hardtop showing 68,755 miles, but the true miles are unknown. This one is covered in TorRed and the big B-body defines the progression of muscle cars into the 70's. It has a numbers matching transmission.

  Exterior
This one's got all the fun exterior cues. Plymouth written on the rear fenders large enough to see from the top of the stands at Talladega, the black band across the decklid rim, the wide black stripe on the hood, and trail of orange dust emitting from the quarter panel scoop and forms a side stripe behind the Road Runner bird smiling his way forward up front. In the very front, that face created by the quad headlights in the shapely grille over the larger marker light embedded in the chrome bumper is the epitome of muscle. Machismo is further enhanced by the hood pins, power bulge, and rear wing. 15-inch Cragar SS carry staggered size tires that are less than six years old. Imperfections include some minor pitting on metal bits, scratches, bubbles, imperfect filler fixes, less than perfect gaps, and waviness throughout due to filler.

  Interior
White vinyl door panels offer a nice change of pace from black and both doors present nicely framed in the orange paint. The white vinyl split bench and rear bench are also in very good condition and obviously lighten up the interior quite a bit. The purple crested roadrunner is on the center of the steering wheel which leads to the black plastic dash that holds the speedometer and four smaller gauges offset to the right. An original looking AM radio sits under the heat lever and textured plastic covers the rest of the dashboard in good condition. The amazing pistol grip Hurst shifter rises from the floor like it's for the Outlaw Josey Wales, nicely coated in black loop carpet. The white headliner shows some looseness but is fully intact and the trunk is clean and covered with a vinyl mat and includes a Mopar wheel.

  Drivetrain
Under the hood sits a clean 440ci V8 with finned Mopar performance valve covers and an aluminum radiator. It's topped by a 4-barrel carburetor and mated to its numbers matching A833 4-speed manual transmission. The 8 ¾" differential has 3.55 gears according to our consignor but the axle tag indicates 3.21 ratio. Drum brakes are equipped at all four wheels.

  Undercarriage
Generally driver quality underneath with typical surface rust and some drops of oil on the pans. Headers send dual exhaust to the bottom side where they move through FlowMaster mufflers before arching over the rear axle and out the back via chrome tips. Suspension is configured as torsion bars up front and leaf springs in the back. We note several haphazard repairs to the unibody frame rails including welded patches on the left and right rear rails and one on the left front as well as patches installed in the rusted flooring.

  Drive-Ability
The big 440 fires up without hesitation and delivers a fine exhaust tone from the headers and accompanying system. With the pistol grip firmly grasped, we work our way around the test loop where the car puts out some impressive power, tracks straight, and stops on demand. We note the radio is not working but all other functions operate as intended. While Classic Auto Mall represents that these functions were working at the time of our test drive, we cannot guarantee these functions will be working at the time of your purchase.

That a muscle car was named for and co-branded with a kid's cartoon is pretty remarkable. It would be akin to having a SpongeBob edition of something today. Although GTO's are seen as the originator of the muscle car movement, Mopar came to bat and hit a home run. So legendary were the Mopar muscle cars like this one, they came back in modern times and experienced a successful resurgence. This is one of the OG muscle cars in a striking exterior color, with a clean interior, and big 440 under the hood. Don't be left in the dust on this one!

      <title>1969 Plymouth Road Runner</title>
      <link>https://www.hotrodhotline.com/forsale/vehicles/plymouth/road_runner/1969/listing/232600</link>
      <description>1969 Plymouth Road Runner Hardtop

For consignment, a 1969 Plymouth Road Runner hardtop showing 79,054 miles, but the true miles are unknown. This bright car is dressed as a GTX but shares the legendary B-body platform of Mopar's venerable muscle cars of the era.

  Exterior
One of the impact colors, two stage Sublime Green coats the car accented with black features that includes the rocker panel, the vinyl top, and wide hood stripes that cross the gap and continue on the fender tops. Plymouth is expressed on the rear fenders Superbird style and a GTX emblem has been added to each rear quarter panel. It also appears on the rear decklid trim, a design feature that adds some interest between the muscular, square tail lights that hug the ends, all underscored by a straight chrome bumper over twin exhaust tips. 15-inch steel wheels are colored keyed to the body and correct dog dish hubcaps finish this clean rounded feature, while a red pinstripe flows through the lower black trim to match that on the grille and hood vents. Someone was green with envy and a key mark runs down the side and through the Plymouth decal, and this is the only imperfection we find.

  Interior
The black grains that are part of the simulated woodgrain inserts on the door are a perfect match for the painted and vinyl panel and result in handsome doors that welcome you into the car, both in great shape. Black vinyl bucket seats and the rear bench also present cleanly and the rear passengers also get to enjoy black and wood sidewalls. Up front, a three spoke steering wheel shares its column with a Sunpro tachometer while the instrument cluster on the dash presents as original, including the horizontal speedometer that tops out at 150 mph. Extra gauges are added below for water and oil and an AM radio with 8 track fits in the woodgrain panel under the vent and air toggles. A shifter in the faux woodgrain faced center console is canted rearward and a plaque warns not to open windows above 120mph. We got black carpet below with GTX branded mats and a nice headliner above, complete with shoulder belts clipped into place. The Sublime walled trunk is spotless and covered with a plaid vinyl mat.

  Drivetrain
A Holley 4-barrel sits atop the clean 440ci under the hood with Roadrunner air cleaner cover on top of that. Behind it, we find an A727 Torqueflite 3-speed automatic routing power to the 8 ¾" rear with 3.54 gears. Our GTX clone is fitted with power brakes, discs in front and drums in back.

  Undercarriage
We have clean conditions underneath with typical patina and no errant fluids present. Dual exhaust starts with headers that take on FlowMaster mufflers before terminating at chrome tips in the back.  Suspension here is torsion bar in front and leaf springs in back and we note slight invasive rust in the rear unibody rails over top the axle.

  Drive-Ability
Running wise, this car garners no complaints from us. It has more than adequate power and runs straight and true and enters turns with the typical B-body roll, but sure footed and confident. We note several things not working including the factory tachometer, the heater blower, and radio. We detect a rattle that seems to be exhaust against the body. The drivers' side rear window only operates from the rear switch and doesn't go back up while the passenger rear window sticks during its travels. Beyond these things, all else works as intended. While Classic Auto Mall represents that these functions were working at the time of our test drive, we cannot guarantee these functions will be working at the time of your purchase.

Can't decide if you want a GTX or a Roadrunner? Well, now you have two in one, a car that left the St. Louis plant as a Roadrunner now appears as a GTX, and just like any good Elvis impersonator, the jumpsuit is still sparkles impressively! This is a great looking car that runs well too and if you're ready to make others green with envy, it might be Sublime time for you.

      <title>1969 Plymouth Road Runner</title>
      <link>https://www.hotrodhotline.com/forsale/vehicles/plymouth/road_runner/1969/listing/202066</link>
      <description>1969 Plymouth Road Runner
The Road Runner was introduced in 1968 and produced through 1980. As the 60's came to an end a lot of muscle cars were moving away from their roots as they gained new features and became more expensive. Plymouth released the Road Runner in an effort to keep the muscle car era alive by going back to the basics and focusing on performance. To use the name, likeness and "beep beep" sound from the popular Wile E. Coyote cartoon, Plymouth gave Warner Bros $50,000 and also went on to spend $10,000 more developing a special horn. The first generation was from 1968 to 1970. They expected to sell 20,000 units in '68 but clearly underestimated things as the production went up to 45,000. It was clear the market responded well and the Road Runner rose to the 3rd highest selling muscle car. In 1969 they kept that same original look with slight changes to the taillights and grill. This very cool 1969 Road Runner had a professionally done frame on restoration by Wonder Lake Rod and Customs. It belonged to a private Mopar collection at the time and was done in a restomod style. The idea was to retain a mostly stock look but have a more modern drivetrain with modern performance. The body is extremely straight and is all rust free. It is painted in Sunfire Yellow which has a very nice shine. All of the original chrome bumpers have an excellent shine as does the window trim, light trim and the unique 1969 grill. It has all of its original style Road Runner badging and logos cleanly in place. The glass is slightly tinted and free from any damage or issues. The car sits on a set of nice 15 inch Magnum 500 wheels with Mickey Thompson Street S/S tires.
The only thing indicating the car is not stock is the scooped hood which looks great. Pop that hood and that is where the fun really begins. This thing is now powered by Mopar Performance 500 Wedge 500+ hp crate motor that runs great. It has been fitted with lots of chrome/billet components, an MSD ignition system, Holly Sniper EFI carburetor and very cool Black finned Mopar Performance valve covers and air cleaner. Keeping it running cool is the aluminum Be Cool radiator with dual electric fans. The car sounds great through ceramic coated headers into H-pipe dual exhaust. Mated to the transmission is a Tremec 5 speed transmission that sends power back to the Dana 60 rear end. During the build the brakes (disc front) were all gone through and it also has all new suspension components. It has power steering as well making it a smooth driving classic to cruise around in. Then when it's time to show off you can put your foot into it and this car performs.
The interior is complete with nice Tan upholstery that is in great condition. It has factory bucket seats with lap belts and they show zero sign of wear. It has a factory floor shifter that moves through the gears smoothly and mounted next to it are controls for the EFI carb. The dash is all upholstered and painted to match the rest and has a mostly stock layout. Below the dash is a Vintage Air AC/Heat system, which blows cold, and an oil pressure gauge. On the original column is mounted an aftermarket mini Sunsuper Tach II and the original 3 spoke wheel with Road Runner horn button. The trunk is all nicely painted to match the body and has a factory style mat.
This very cool Mopar is a factory R code car and comes with a factory build sheet to back that up. It has since been taken to the next level with modern performance making it a really special car. It is a true R code car and comes with the original broadcast sheet.
Add it to your collector for $119,500.00
